The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC’s Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough. It will extend from Kennedy Station to Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading into and out of the downtown core and those travelling within Scarborough. The extension will replace Line 3 (the Scarborough RT), helping to reduce travel times and improve access to jobs, schools, and other key destinations throughout the city.\nAs part of this project, we are currently looking for a Senior Materials Coordinator to join our team.\nWhat You Will Do:\nCoordinate the receipt, tracking, storage, and distribution of construction materials required to support subway extension project activities.\nMaintain material tracking logs and provide regular updates on material status, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.\nWork closely with Construction, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure materials are available to support planned work and meet project requirements and standards.\nMonitor upcoming construction activities and identify potential material shortages, delivery delays, or inventory concerns.\nCoordinate material deliveries to site and verify receiving documentation, packing slips, and quantities received.\nAssist with material inspections and ensure materials are stored and handled in accordance with project and manufacturer requirements.\nSupport the tracking and resolution of damaged, missing, incorrect, or non-conforming materials.\nMaintain material records and documentation to support project quality and traceability requirements.\nCoordinate with site supervision to ensure materials are issued to the field in alignment with construction priorities and schedules.\nParticipate in planning and coordination meetings to provide updates on material availability and readiness.\nPerform inventory counts and support warehouse and yard organization activities as required.\nEnsure all material management activities are carried out in accordance with project safety, quality, and environmental requirements.\nExperience You Will Bring:\n6+ years of experience in materials coordination, warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, procurement support or construction project coordination.\nExperience supporting large civil, transportation, infrastructure or tunneling construction projects.\nUnderstanding of construction materials, delivery processes, inventory control, and material tracking practices.\nExperience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including construction teams, suppliers, procurement professionals, and subcontractors.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, material take-offs, and project schedules.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience using inventory, procurement, ERP, or project management systems.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.\nEffective problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and escalate material-related issues in a timely manner.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to supporting field operations.\nDemonstrated commitment to safety and experience working within active construction environments.\nWhy Join Us?\nCompensation: $60,000 - $75,000 annually.
