The ONxpress Civil Joint Venture is comprised of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. and FCC Canada Ltd. This multidisciplinary team leads the delivery of civil and track works, leveraging global expertise to introduce innovative solutions across the GO Transit network.\nWhat You’ll Do\nCreate and submit Applications for Payment to the client and reply to all the questions or comments that may arise to ensure a proper billing process.\n\nCoordinate with Risk, Planners, Finance, IDD/BIM, Supply Chain, and Cost Controller on projects to get accurate information related to accruals and forecast.\n\nAnalyze cost trends, identify variances and give explanations for cost deviations.\n\nDevelop and implement cost control procedures and workflows.\n\nIdentify or define the data sources and data acquisition techniques necessary for the proper functioning of the cost control systems.\n\nAid cost control, scheduling, supply chain, and finance & project accounting groups as required.\n\nPrepare and present regular cost reports for internal management including overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, Variances)\n\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as required.\n\nOrganizing and attending project meetings\n\nPrepare and maintain Cost Control plans and utilization staffing plans.\n\nAssist with contract administration and payments to subcontractors.\n\nFollow up tasks with internal leads and assist with schedule and cost management\n\nCreate and maintain Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) of the project\n\nMaintain project progress data and handle any issues that arise\n\nWhat You Bring\n7+ years of related project controls experience in construction projects.\n\nKnowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes.\n\nCollege and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.\n\nOrganizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).\n\nApplied knowledge of Project Management and Cost Controls principles.\n\nAbility to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.\n\nWillingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.\n\nIntermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel.\n\nExperience with Hard Dollar/InEight and SAP ERP systems is an asset.\n\nDetail oriented.\n\nMust be able to travel to projects.\n\nExpected compensation for this role is between $90,000-$130,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors including skills, experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into consideration.
