Through this collaborative approach, the Alliance is helping drive the modernization of key sections of the rail network as part of the GO Expansion Program.\nIf you're passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a progressive and modern way of working, we want to hear from you.\nWhat You’ll Do\nCarry out detailed constructability reviews to develop the engineering design requirements, project schedule, manpower and procurement requirements.\n\nPlan and implement an engineering and construction program, including defining the project plan, activities, milestones, and manpower requirements.\n\nAssist in Developing and maintains the project schedule and budget for the engineering and construction segments of the project.\n\nIdentify project milestones and adjustment to schedules.\n\nIdentify project manpower requirements and coordinates manpower with appropriate trades and subcontractors.\n\nCoordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc.\n\nReview project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications.\n\nCoordinate activities relating to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.\n\nEvaluate and recommend design changes, specifications and drawing releases.\n\nProvide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.\n\nForecast and track change orders and scope changes.\n\nAssist and monitor safety programs and statistics as required.\n\nWrite and review purchase specifications and subcontract documents.\n\nInvolve actively in quality assurance with regards to understating and implementing policies and procedures.\n\nProvide estimating and project management back-up as required.\n\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.\n\nDevelop and write reports and business correspondence\n\nWhat You Bring\nPost secondary education in Civil Engineering or Civil discipline or Equivalent.\n\nExperience working with codes, standards and general construction practices.\n\nMinimum 4 years experience in project engineering in a construction or EPC environment\n\nExperience working heavy civil, or buildings preferred.\n\nExcellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.\n\nStrong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.\n\nOrganizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated.\n\nThrive on a fast-paced environment.\n\nApplicants may be required to demonstrate technical expertise and understanding of processes and compliance requirements in construction industry.\n\nExcellent analytical and organizational skills.\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills.\n\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\n\nComputer literacy(AutoCAD/Microsoft office tools/BIM software).\n\nExpected compensation for this role is between $80,000.00-$95,000.00 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors including skills, experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into consideration.
