Guided by our core value of Safety Always, we partner with clients to build the infrastructure that powers the future.\nWhat is the Opportunity?\nAecon is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to support the delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model. The Senior Project Coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager and project team to coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, energisation, and closeout activities while supporting the safe, high-quality delivery of the project in accordance with schedule, cost, and client objectives.\nLocation: Milwaukee, WI (preferred), Port Huron, MI; Detroit, MI\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nSupport project planning and execution across engineering, procurement, and construction activities.\nCoordinate project scope, schedules, critical milestones, deliverables, and project controls throughout project delivery.\nSupport project financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, cash flow, and change management.\nIdentify and track project risks, issues, constraints, and opportunities, supporting mitigation plans and resolution.\nCoordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, suppliers, and field resources to support project objectives.\nCoordinate procurement and material management activities, including purchase requisitions, material status tracking, expediting, and delivery requirements.\nSupport project meetings, reporting, action tracking, and communications with clients, owners, engineers, project partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.\nSupport contract administration, change orders, claims documentation, and tracking of contractual deliverables.\nMonitor project progress, schedule performance, productivity, quantities, costs, and forecasts, escalating potential impacts to project leadership.\nReview construction drawings, specifications, work packages, and technical documentation to support constructability and field execution.\nCoordinate technical queries, drawing reviews, document control, and distribution of project information.\nSupport compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.\nSupport commissioning and energisation activities, operational readiness, turnover, and project closeout.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to Project Coordinators and junior project staff.\nPromote strong safety and quality performance throughout all phases of project delivery.\nWhat You Bring to the Team:\nPost-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.\n5+ years of progressive project coordination or project delivery experience within EPC construction, power generation, transmission and distribution, renewable energy, or industrial infrastructure.\nBESS, substation, renewable energy, or other utility-scale power project experience is strongly preferred.\nKnowledge of electrical systems, high-voltage infrastructure, and grid interconnection requirements is considered an asset.\nDemonstrated experience supporting project schedules, finances, contracts, procurement, project controls, risk management, and multidisciplinary teams.\nExperience coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, suppliers, and field activities on complex projects.\nStrong understanding of construction documentation, drawings, specifications, change management, and project reporting.\nExperience with project management and construction systems such as SAP, Primavera P6, Navisworks, and Microsoft Excel is considered an asset.\nStrong leadership, communication, organisation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and proactively drive project actions to completion.\nThis position may be based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
