Aecon and United have a proven working relationship and the United team continues to operate in the market as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.\nWe are seeking a Structural Supervising Engineer to support nuclear plant modification work in our Charlotte, NC office. Responsibilities include supporting the development of nuclear plant modification packages and managing larger efforts with a team of structural engineers.\nWhat You'll Do Here:\nDesign, analysis and development of structural modifications for nuclear power plants.\nAs required, function as the discipline leader for larger structural engineering efforts, supervise engineering and design personnel to perform various tasks on schedule and on budget.\nUtilize your professional engineering license to sign and seal structural drawings developed under your supervision.\nAs required, coordinate interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on schedule and on budget.\nReview relevant codes and project specific procedures, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project tasks.\nPerform structural calculations, developing engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings.\nDevelop material and workhour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules\nWhat You Bring To The Team:\nBachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a four-year, accredited college or university.\nMinimum 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and design supporting nuclear modification work.\nMinimum 5 years in an engineering leadership position, managing engineering and design staff at the project level.\nExperience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, MathCad, etc..\nThe successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers\nProfessional Engineering (PE) license in US.\nExperience in seismic analysis and design of structures, systems, and components for nuclear power plants!\nExperience with ANSYS and SAP2000 is a plus!\nExperience working with Duke Energy (Nuclear) is a plus!\nCitizenship Requirements:\nThis position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. As a result, applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.\nPay and Benefits:\nPay Range: $160,000 - $180,000 per year\nIndividual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
