Through this collaborative approach, the Alliance is helping drive the modernization of key sections of the rail network as part of the GO Expansion Program.\nIf you're passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a progressive and modern way of working, we want to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nThe Construction Technical Office (CTO) is a newly established team within CJV, created to bridge the gap between design and construction across our active rail construction sites. The Construction Coordinator supports the CTO by coordinating engineering services during construction on tracks and signalling scope acting as the day-to-day technical interface between the construction team and design consultants.\nThis is a primarily site-based role. You will be embedded in the construction environment, helping the site team navigate design documents, track technical submissions, and resolve field issues in a timely manner. Some weekend work may be required.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide day-to-day coordination of engineering services between site teams and design consultants across planning and construction stages\n\nThis is a site-based role that will coordinate closely with construction teams to monitor progress, identify emerging technical issues, and support timely resolution.\n\nFacilitate technical discussions and coordination meetings between construction supervisors, designers, and other project stakeholders.\n\nPrepare basic field sketches and mark-ups to support field queries, design clarifications, and site communications where required.\n\nCoordinate the review and tracking of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Site Instructions (SIs), and shop drawings between the site and design consultants.\n\nMonitor the status of outstanding submissions, escalate overdue items, and maintain trackers to keep the CTO team and site team informed.\n\nEnsure the construction team has access to the current approved revision of all design documents, and that superseded drawings are promptly removed from circulation.\n\nPrepare work area packages, to allow construction team access to documentation relevant to upcoming works in identified local areas\n\nAbility to read and interpret multi-disciplinary drawings and specifications, identify coordination gaps, and communicate issues clearly to the relevant designers or site supervisors.\n\nProactively identify, monitor, and escalate risks and issues that may impact construction progress or quality at station sites.\n\nSupport the management of design changes, including tracking impacts to scope, cost, schedule, and risk.\n\nPrepare and maintain dashboards, logs, and visual trackers to monitor outstanding RFIs, ITPs, SIs, and other technical submissions.\n\nWhat You Bring\nUniversity or college degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.\n\n2+ years of experience in design coordination, construction coordination, or project management on major infrastructure projects.\n\nExperience in active rial or, transit or civil infrastructure projects is a strong asset.\n\nAbility to read and interpret civil and structural drawings and specifications.\n\nStrong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations for civil works, including earthworks, structures, and drainage.\n\nExperience coordinating ITPs, RFIs, SIs, and shop drawings in a construction environment is considered an asset.\n\nStrong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment.\n\nFamiliarity with document management platforms (e.g., , ACC, Aconex) is an asset.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Bluebeam Revu is an asset.\n\nEducation as a civil technologist or engineer are assets candidates with other technical education and exoerience are encouraged to apply.\n\nWillingness and ability to work primarily on-site across GTA project locations as required.\n\nExpected compensation for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors, including skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into consideration.
