Backed by Accel and Foundation Capital, we’re transforming how enterprises protect their people from modern social engineering threats.\nThe Role\nWe’re looking for an AI Product Manager to lead the roadmap for Aegis AI’s threat detection engine - the core layer that identifies, classifies, and explains modern email attacks.\nThis roleis at the heart of our mission: improving detection performance while maintaining precision and trust. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and security researchers to design how our multi-agent AI system learns from adversarial behavior, detects zero-day threats, and continuously improves through real-world feedback.\nYour work will directly impact the system’s ability to uncover sophisticated attacks, account compromise, and deep social engineering attempts that legacy tools miss.\nResponsibilities\n1. Understand the Threat Environment\nInvestigate real-world attacks and their associated data, threat reports to uncover detection gaps and trends.\n\nPartner with the Engineering team, security analysts and customers to understand attacker tactics, behaviors, and potential false-negative patterns.\n\nSynthesize insights from data and detections into actionable intelligence to inform the product direction.\n\n2. Design and Prioritize the Detection Roadmap\nDefine the roadmap for Aegis’ detection systems - focusing on AI agents, underlying model improvements, and signal coverage.\n\nWork closely with AI Engineering and Security/Threat Intel analysts to translate threat insights into detection requirements.\n\nSet success metrics around precision and recall; track performance and iterate.\n\n3. Communicate Detection to Customers\nCollaborate with GTM teams to clearly explain how detections work and what type of threats they catch.\n\nPublish thought leadership pieces from Aegis’ threat intelligence\n\nBuild internal tools and narratives that help customers trust, validate, and adopt our products to protect their organizations.\n\nTranslate technical results into compelling value stories around protection, ROI, and visibility.\n\n4. Work with Engineering to Implement and Deploy Improvements\nPartner with AI and Infra teams to operationalize detection models safely, efficiently, and at scale.\n\nDefine requirements for detection improvements, feedback loops, and evaluation pipelines.\n\nEnsure rapid iteration between research, development, and production rollout.\n\nWho You Are\n5+ years of Product Management experience.\n\nStrong understanding of ML and AI fundamentals: model training, evaluation, and deployment.\n\nProven ability to balance model performance with precision and explainability requirements.\n\nSkilled at translating complex technical problems into clear, measurable product goals.\n\nExperienced working cross-functionally with research, data, and engineering teams.\n\nExceptional communication skills - you can discuss embeddings and evaluation metrics as comfortably as customer pain points.\n\nStrong ability to balance working with Customers directly + Engineering + GTM teams.\n\nIf you’re an ex founder or are looking to learn about becoming one.
