1) Serve as the ATE Quality Subject Matter Expert within the QA organization
2) Assess the quality, robustness and effectiveness of ATE test applications and review ATE-related issues from a quality and risk perspective.
3) Establish quality expectations, standards and best practices for ATE applications.
4) Provide technical quality leadership during NPI, qualification and production
5) Lead systematic investigation of ATE and test-related yield losses and work with other functions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
6) Drive structured problem solving using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, DOE and statistical analysis
7) Drive improvement of test coverage based on customer requirements, product risks and field/production lessons learned.
8) Provide technical leadership for customer issues involving ATE and test applications.
9) Lead ATE-related FMEA and PFMEA to ensure lessons learned from yield issues, customer complaints and failures are incorporated into FMEA.
10) Lead test correlation and characterization activities, identify measurement and test-system variation that could impact product quality or yield.
Qualifications and Experience
1) Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field
2) Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor test, ATE, test applications, test engineering or quality engineering
3) Strong hands on experience with semiconductor ATE systems
4) Good understanding of ATE test architecture, test methodology, instrumentation, fixtures, handlers, DUT interfaces and test application behavior
5) Experience in ATE or test application quality assurance, including identifying test related risks, failure mechanisms and potential quality escapes
6) Proven experience in yield improvement, failure analysis and root cause investigation using test data
7) Strong practical experience with 8D, CAPA, FMEA and structured problem solving
8) Working knowledge of DOE, MSA, SPC and statistical analysis. Experience with Minitab is an advantage
9) Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and customer driven timelines
