In this role, you’ll collaborate with architects, designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to influence product direction, refine functional requirements, and deliver high-performance, scalable software products and APIs.\nThis position is based out of our Mountain View office on a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office weekly). We are currently evaluating candidates who reside locally.\nResponsibities:\nLead the design and implementation of robust, highly scalable services and APIs.\nDesign, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and automation.\nApply object-oriented design (OOD) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles to Java development.\nParticipate in design and code reviews to strengthen software quality, performance, and maintainability.\nMaintain and improve CI/CD and release pipelines to support reliable, efficient deployments.\nIdentify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks to improve application quality and responsiveness.\nAbout you:\n5+ years of software development experience using Java and/or Python.\nExperience building secure, complex, and scalable APIs, from design through deployment.\nHands-on experience with Docker, Git, Gradle, and Linux.\nA strong foundation in writing, testing, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.\nExperience with SQL development, data modeling, and complex data structures for high-volume, high-velocity data, as well as experience working with NoSQL technologies.\nExperience with OAuth, logging, and security frameworks.\nStrong experience using Claude and other large language models (LLMs) to support software development.\nHands-on experience with code quality tools such as SonarQube, PMD, and Checkstyle.\nDemonstrated success leading technical design and implementation, mentoring engineers, and guiding projects through delivery.\nStrong collaboration skills and a willingness to work with global, cross-functional teams across time
