We continue to be the trusted choice of market leaders for our proven ability to generate value and unlock opportunities that were previously unattainable.\nThe Modeling Sustaining Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex production issues related to customer decision models, data pipelines, recommendations, and business logic running on the Aera platform. This is a cross-functional role where you will partner closely with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Modeling teams to identify root causes, drive resolutions, and improve platform reliability.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, data modeling expertise, and a deep understanding of enterprise business processes. You will become a subject matter expert (SME) for customer implementations and platform modeling capabilities.\nResponsibilities\nInvestigate and resolve complex customer production issues related to decision models, Modeling, recommendations, data ingestion, and business processes.\n\nAnalyze model execution, recommendation generation, data transformations, and platform behavior to identify root causes.\n\nTriage and prioritize high-priority customer issues while ensuring timely communication and resolution.\n\nWork closely with Engineering and Product teams to drive permanent fixes and platform improvements.\n\nDevelop deep expertise in customer implementations and become an SME for specific platform capabilities.\n\nPerform impact analysis and validate fixes before deployment.\n\nCreate and maintain troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.\n\nProactively identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to reduce support volume.\n\nSupport root cause analysis (RCA) activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nAbout You\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.\n\n4+ years of experience in enterprise application support, data analytics, business intelligence, modeling, or related areas.\n\nStrong SQL skills and experience analyzing large datasets.\n\nExperience troubleshooting data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, or analytics platforms.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex production issues.\n\nAbility to understand business processes and translate technical findings into actionable insights.\n\nExperience working with logs, monitoring tools, and debugging distributed systems.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nPassion for becoming a subject matter expert and driving customer success.\n\nWillingness to learn new technologies and business domains.\n\nLeverageAI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and similar technologies to accelerate troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation, and productivity.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with enterprise planning, supply chain, finance, procurement, or operational business processes.\n\nFamiliarity with Python, Java, or scripting languages.\n\nExperience with cloud platforms, data warehouses, and analytics tools.\n\nKnowledge of decision intelligence, AI/ML, or optimization concepts is a
