This is a hands-on Wind Turbine Field Technician responsibilities. The role requires on-site field work as part of Wind Turbine Operations, including physical work at height and in industrial environments.\nJob Tasks and Responsibilities:\nMaintenance and operation of robotic systems used for cleaning, inspection, and repair of wind turbines.\nPerforming routine inspections on turbines to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. \nPreventative maintenance on wind turbines and associated systems to reduce downtime and maximize energy production.\nFault diagnosis and resolution of technical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and technology.\nReporting and documentation of work completed, including identifying issues, repairs, and maintenance performed.\nData Custody, Data Management, and Data Upload to Company servers. \nReport successfully completed tasks, analyze applicable data and as required inform relevant departments of safety and quality risks.\nEnsuring adherence to Safety Protocols and Industry Standards. \nRequirements\nPrevious experience working in physically demanding environments\nAbility to safely perform hands-on field work in challenging industrial conditions\nValid Drives License and a clean driving record \nWilling and able to undertake a Background Check, Drug Screen, and Physical Check (Medical) \nPaid Training & Certifications:\nAerones provides paid training for: \nOSHA 10 \nNFPA 70E \nGWO Basic Safety Training (BST)\nGWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART)\nConfined Space Training \nSelf Rescue Line Training\n*All required training, certifications, and necessary equipment will be provided for qualified new hires. \nHighly Desired:\nPrior Military Service \nGWO Basic Technical Training (BTT)\nGWO Sea Survival \nGE / Vestas / Siemens Gamesa / Nordex Turbine Operations / LOTO\nPhysical Requirements:\nClimb wind turbines vertically (up to 400+ Feet)\nWork in confined spaces and at heights for extended periods \nLift and move equipment up to 50lbs\nWork outdoors in varying weather (heat, cold, wind, dust)\nPhysical fitness for field work and emergency rescue scenarios \nAble to meet physical requirements and safely utilize required PPE within manufacturer guidelines\nSafety-Sensitive Position Requirements:\nThis is a safety-sensitive position involving work at heights, operation of specialized equipment, independent field work, and emergency/self-rescue responsibilities.\nEmployees must be able to safely perform all essential job functions without impairment that could compromise safety, judgment, alertness, coordination, or operational performance.\nCandidates must comply with all company, client, OSHA, and site-specific drug and alcohol policies, including pre-employment, random, and post-incident testing requirements.\nThe use of any substance, including prescribed medication, that may impair an employee’s ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position may disqualify an individual from performing this role or require further medical evaluation consistent with applicable law.\nBenefits\nEligible employees receive:\nMedical Insurance (80% employer-paid)\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nTerm Life Insurance \nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nHoliday Pay\nBreaking into the Wind Industry? Aerones pays 100% of your GWO Certifications!\nWhat We Offer:\nBase hourly pay: $17-$22/hour, based on technician level and progression.\nPerformance bonus: $35-$40 per completed wind turbine, paid in addition to hourly wages.\nEstimated effective hourly earnings: approximately $22-$36/hour when working in the field, depending on technician level and the number of turbines completed.\nTypical annual earning potential: $62,000-$80,000+, depending on level, field activity, overtime, and performance.\nPer Diem for meals and incidental expenses while on field assignments.\nTravel and lodging are fully paid by Aerones.\nEffective hourly earnings are estimates based on base pay plus performance bonuses and are not a guaranteed hourly rate.
