You'll work alongside experienced engineers, quality specialists, and manufacturing professionals while helping improve the way work gets done.\nA central part of your role will be Visual Management-using visual tools, daily team meetings, and performance tracking to make work priorities, progress, and problems immediately visible. You'll help teams stay coordinated, identify obstacles, and take timely action to keep work moving.\nWe're especially interested in freshmen and sophomores who are eager to learn, take initiative, and grow with us over multiple years.\nWhat You'll Do\nVisual Management & Team Coordination\nHelp organize and maintain visual management boards that clearly display work status, schedules, priorities, assignments, and outstanding issues.\nAssist in preparing for and conducting daily stand-up meetings, helping teams review progress, identify obstacles, and establish priorities.\nMonitor workflow and commitments, identify overdue activities, and proactively follow up with responsible team members.\nKeep visual information accurate and current so teams and managers can quickly recognize what is on schedule, what is falling behind, and where action is needed.\nHelp develop and improve visual tools, including status boards, schedules, performance charts, checklists, and simple dashboards.\nLearn how effective Visual Management promotes communication, accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across departments.\nQuality & Process ControlHelp track inspection activities, quality issues, rework, and corrective actions.\nCoordinate the movement of parts and documentation through quality inspection.\nAssist in maintaining quality records, inspection logs, and status reports.\nLearn how quality standards and process controls help ensure reliable manufacturing results.\nOperations & Workflow CoordinationTrack materials, machined parts, and work orders as they move through the company.\nWork with operations, quality and production personnel to identify delays and resolve outstanding issues.\nHelp coordinate priorities and improve communication between departments.\nFollow up on commitments to keep work moving efficiently.\nWhat We're Looking For\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.\nFreshman or sophomore standing preferred, with at least two full academic years remaining before graduation.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in how things work.\nComfortable communicating with people and following up on assignments.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and common computer applications.\nEnthusiasm for manufacturing, quality, operations, and continuous improvement.\nWhat You'll Gain\nVisual Management & Leadership Experience: Learn how leading manufacturing organizations use visual tools, daily team meetings, and performance measures to coordinate work, identify problems, drive accountability, and improve results.
