This is a hands-on role with broad ownership across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, automation, security, and developer experience.\nYou’ll have the opportunity to solve complex infrastructure challenges, automate away operational toil, and build systems that enable engineering teams to move faster and scale with confidence. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just maintain infrastructure, but thinks strategically about how to make it more reliable, secure, scalable, efficient, and easier for developers to use.\nOur philosophy is simple: let the system work for you instead of fighting the system.\nJob Responsibilities\nBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and similar technologies to automate provisioning, configuration, security policies, and infrastructure management.\nDesign, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and containerized environments, including automated deployment, scaling, reliability, and lifecycle management.\nManage and evolve cloud infrastructure and networking across multiple environments to support engineering teams.\nDesign and maintain shared networking services including DNS, API gateways, routing, and related infrastructure, while partnering with Security to implement and enforce network security controls.\nBuild tools, automation, and internal platforms that improve the developer experience, reduce operational toil, and allow engineers to focus on building great products.\nArchitect and manage multi-cloud deployment strategies designed for redundancy, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and geographic resilience.\nBalance multi-cloud resiliency with thoughtful cost optimization, including cross-cloud data transfer and infrastructure redundancy.\nDesign and implement secure secrets management solutions for credentials, API keys, certificates, and other sensitive information.\nContinuously improve cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security practices, scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.\nPartner closely with Engineering, Security, and Operations to establish scalable DevOps practices aligned with business and engineering objectives.\nDocument architecture, design decisions, operational procedures, and cost optimization strategies to make systems easier to understand, operate, and scale.\nTake ownership of complex infrastructure challenges and proactively identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve the way engineering operates.\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or a related discipline.\nHands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and a strong understanding of cloud services and architecture.\nStrong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, subnetting, routing, and network architecture.\nExperience with firewall configurations and cloud security groups.\nExperience with modern CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.\nExperience with cloud security automation and security best practices.\nStrong proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or similar infrastructure automation technologies.\nHands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.\nStrong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and distributed systems.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Engineering, Security, and Operations.\nDemonstrated leadership, ownership, and initiative in establishing DevOps infrastructure, automation, and processes.\nA strong desire to learn and stay current with evolving cloud, DevOps, infrastructure, and security technologies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing and operating multi-cloud environments.\nStrong experience with cloud networking and distributed infrastructure.\nExperience optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost.\nExperience building internal developer platforms, tooling, or automation focused on improving developer productivity and experience.\nCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.\nAWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure certifications.\nSalary Range: $145,000 - $170,000\n(Actual compensation will be based on experience, location, and other relevant factors.)\nAerospike is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
