In this role, The AP Supervisor will report to AV’s Sr. Manager, Accounts Payable and assist the Accounts Payable staff with training, problem resolution, and monitoring daily activity. The AP Supervisor will also manage and review the invoice entry process and payments process to ensure proper coding, invoice approval and timeliness.\n Position Responsibilities\nVoucher AP invoices, support check runs, ACH and wires, PSIGen (AP intake) and/or data entry as needed\nReview AP aging reports and payment requests from suppliers & employees to ensure timely approval of invoices and payments\nCoordinate verification of open receipts monthly and work with cross-department personnel to clear problem receipt information, as required\nReview setup of new suppliers including payment terms and banking information\nIdentify procedure-enhancing processes to ensure timely payment of invoices and discount-taking opportunities\nEnsure the timely and accurate month-end closing of Accounts Payable, including monthly accruals of liabilities, in accordance with applicable internal controls (SOX)\nMonitor and assist with P-Card and T&E card program management and training of users\nCreates an environment of continuous process improvement and looks for opportunities for process re-engineering\nEnsures compliance with DE-542 and 1096/1098/1099 filings\nResponsible for account reconciliations and ensure discrepant items are resolved in a timely manner\nParticipate in systems testing to ensure changes and upgrades are working as designed\nSupports Oracle Fusion implementation process, including testing and data migration efforts.\nOther duties as assigned\n Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma/GED is required\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred\nExperience\nMinimum of 4-6 years of Accounts Payable experience.\nMinimum 2 years of supervisor experience with groups of 5 or more\nDemonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with strong people-skills are mandatory\nDemonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products, with emphasis on Excel\nPrevious supervisor responsibility in a publicly traded company is preferred\nPrevious experience with government contracting, FAR/CAS compliance and/or aerospace and defense industry are preferred\nPrevious experience with Unanet and/or Oracle Fusion preferred\n Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience)\nDemonstrates competency in managing multiple priorities and achieving deadlines\nSkilled at working under short-term deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency\nAble to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nDisplays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives\nTakes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products\nIs committed to learning from mistakes and driven to improve and enhance performance of oneself, others, and the company\nHas effective problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written).\nFocused on teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one's own interests\n Physical Demands\nAbility to work in an office environment (Constant)\nRequired to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)\nClearance Level\nNo ClearanceThe salary range for this role is:\n$63,000 - $96,000AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.\nITAR Requirement:\nThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
