In this role, you will work with the Cybersecurity team on a variety of Information Security tasks, to include software vetting, compliance documentation, exception monitoring, engineering and automation tasks, and configuration support. You will be required to manage your workload independently, support compliance for the Enterprise, monitor and adjust your priorities to requests, develop processes and maintain documentation, and work with IT and Cybersecurity teams to ensure security configurations remain aligned with expected frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to take on new responsibilities upon demonstrated capabilities.\nPosition Responsibilities\nTier 1/2/3 Cyber help desk technician duties, including initial customer contact, customer issue identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of ticket issues in a timely manner with excellent customer engagement\nPerform vetting and review of software for inclusion on/exclusion from the production network\nPerform security posture checks and remediate vulnerabilities\nAssist with risk assessment, system and communication analysis, development of compliance processes and documentation, to include, but not limited to, RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC\nEscalation of issues to the appropriate engineer or manager when appropriate\nAssist in maintaining and developing the InfoSec Team’s process documentation\nProvide customer service and inter-departmental support\nAnalyze email and communicating with Cyberoperations team on suspicious communications\nAdditional duties, as required, to include support and collaboration with IT department and other teams as needed.\nThis is a growth-oriented position where the limits to your role will be determined by how well you can streamline your processes, build capabilities, and help optimize the environment for yourself and the rest of the team.\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)\nU.S. Citizenship required\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent work experience.\nHave active Security+ certification (or be required to obtain within six months of onboarding)\nSolid understanding of multiple cybersecurity domains in terms of implementation, and documentation\nStrong English language skills, both verbal and written\nExcellent communication skills and customer service\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001, etc.)\nStrong time/task management skills\nAble to work independently and manage multiple ongoing tasks efficiently\nWillingness to learn and contribute\nOther Qualifications & Desired Competencies\n5-10 years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity, or equivalent roles\nActive A+ and/or Net+ certification(s) or equivalent\nKnowledge of Linux configurations and security\nExperience with Microsoft tools, risk analysis, and cybersecurity assessments\nExperience leveraging scripts, automation, and/or data analysis to streamline your workflows, increase situational awareness, and improve capabilities in the context of cybersecurity\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to work in an office environment (Hybrid)\n Must be within 50 miles of any AV office location\nRequired to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)\nClearance Level\nNo ClearanceThe salary range for this role is:\n$91,000 - $138,750AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.\nITAR Requirement:\nThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
