This role also supports revenue tracking, forecasting accuracy, and financial execution by partnering closely with Program Management, Planning, Operations, and Finance teams. The position operates in a dynamic environment, ensuring alignment between operational activity and financial outcomes.\nPosition Responsibilities\nDevelopment and maintenance of program financial plans and forecasts by partnering with Program Finance, Planning, Operations, and Subcontracts to ensure alignment between operational activity and financial outcomes\nActs as a liaison between Finance, Planning, Operations, and Program Management to ensure alignment across teams\nMonitors progress of program requirements\nTracks and analyzes cost and revenue performance against plan, identifying key drivers and variances \nSupports accrual-related analysis by tracking inventory, WIP, and operational movements that impact financial reporting\nPrepares financial analysis and reporting to support internal stakeholders and leadership visibility\nEnsures compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations\nMonitors progress of program requirements\nConducts complex financial analysis (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, etc.)\nPerforms non-routine analysis and prepares non-routine financial reports\nIdentifies and drives process improvements across reporting, tracking tools, and data flows to improve accuracy and efficiency \nWorks on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors\nOther duties as assigned\nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\nMinimum of 8 years of relevant experience\nExperience supporting financial planning, forecasting, or reporting in a program finance, operations finance, or FP&A environment \nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including ability to work with large datasets and complex models \nWorking knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise data environments (e.g., Oracle)\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment \nOther Qualifications & Desired Competencies\nExperience in project controls and/or financial planning in a government contracting environment is highly preferred\nKnowledge of Government Cost accounting principles and FAR preferred\nExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and operational or transactional data and understanding financial impacts of business activities preferred\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills \nDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively across Finance, Planning, and Operations teams \nAble to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where priorities may shift and processes may evolve \nDisplays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives\nTakes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products\nPhysical Demands\nAbility to work in an office environment (Constant)\nRequired to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)\nClearance Level\nNo Clearance\nThe salary range for this role is:\n$101,000 - $154,000\nAeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.\nITAR Requirement:\nThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
