This role is responsible for preparing compliant, accurate, and competitive pricing submissions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and company policies. The Sr. Pricing Analyst collaborates with capture, contracts, finance, and program teams to provide pricing analysis, modeling, and documentation that align with business objectives and customer requirements.\nPosition Responsibilities\nProposal Pricing Support\nDevelop detailed pricing models for proposals, task orders, and contract modifications. Collaborate with the Estimating Lead on BOEs and review of cost estimates.\nPrepare compliant cost volumes and support proposal documentation.\nConduct labor rate, material, subcontractor, and ODC pricing in accordance with solicitation requirements.\nCompliance & Analysis\nEnsure pricing submissions comply with FAR/DFARS, CAS, DCAA/DCMA guidelines, and internal policies.\nPerform sensitivity analyses, what-if scenarios, and risk assessments to support bid strategy.\nMaintain audit-ready documentation to support reviews and fact-finding.\nFinancial Modeling\nBuild and maintain cost models incorporating direct labor, indirect rates, escalation, and subcontractor/vendor inputs.\nSupport price-to-win analysis and competitive assessments in coordination with capture teams.\nProvide management with clear pricing recommendations and data-driven insights.\nCollaboration\nWork closely with capture, contracts, program management, and finance teams to align pricing with technical and program requirements.\nSupport internal pricing reviews and approvals by preparing pricing packages and presentations.\nMentor junior pricing analysts and share best practices in estimating methodologies.\n Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)\nBachelor’s degree\n5+ years of pricing/estimating experience in federal contracting.\nWorking knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and government proposal processes.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Excel and Word); experience with pricing tools such as ProPricer (preferred).\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nOther Qualifications & Desired Competencies\nStrong understanding of federal pricing and compliance requirements.\nAbility to interpret solicitation requirements and translate them into compliant cost proposals.\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy in financial modeling.\nStrong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.\nProfessional integrity and commitment to ethical pricing practices.\n Physical Demands\nAbility to work in an office environment (Constant)\nRequired to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)\nClearance Level\nNo ClearanceThe salary range for this role is:\n$93,000 - $141,750AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.\nITAR Requirement:\nThis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
