The Certification Engineer I assists with the preparation and maintenance of certification project documents and ensures that certification activities conform to the company quality system procedures and work instructions as documented.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupports any communication between AerSale and regulatory authorities, such as FAA, EASA, ODAs, and designees under the guidance of senior certification personnel.\nAssists with implementation and maintenance of certification department procedures and work instructions.\nAssists with generation and accuracy of project-specific certification documentation on assigned projects under supervision.\nPrepares reports on the performance of assigned certification activities to ensure conformity; coordinates with quality assurance to plan and accomplish conformity inspections and documentation.\nAssists with tracking and adherence to certification schedules for assigned projects.\nSupports project meetings and teleconferences as required.\nProvides input on project requirements and timelines for assigned projects.\nWorks with quality assurance disciplines to ensure conformity inspections and documentation are planned for and accomplished, and that all project conformity records are submitted for review and approval.\nUnderstands and promotes all health, safety, and environmental legal and regulatory requirements including company policies and standards.\nComplies with and sustains a strong safety culture and compliance-driven practices in the work environment.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience:\nA four-year technical degree and a minimum of 1 - 3 years of industry experience in aircraft certification or related engineering discipline, or other combination of education and experience.\nKnowledge of FAA and foreign regulatory Certification Procedures and standards for commercial aviation products on large transport category aircraft preferred.\nSkills and Abilities:\nExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.\nHighly organized.\nExcellent meeting facilitation skills to effectively engage stakeholders.\nCritical thinking, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.\nCreative problem-solving ability and customer/partner focus.\nAbility to adapt well to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.\nBasic understanding of FAA certification processes including STC, PMA and OPP preferred.\nKnowledge and effective practice of aerospace quality practices such as ISO9001 and/or AS9100.\nTravel may be required.\nHours may vary due to organizational need.\nIf you would like to see your career take flight, apply today!\nAersale is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
