This includes coordinating internal and external reporting, preparing the Flash Financial Statements, and monthly management packages for executive leadership and the Board. In addition to the reporting responsibilities, this role will oversee the company's asset management activities, focusing primarily on inventory, fixed assets, and property, plant, and equipment (PP&E). The position will manage and track the lifecycle of assets, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and proper valuation.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nOversee the accounting and reporting for the company’s asset management activities, with a primary focus on inventory, fixed assets, and property, plant, and equipment (PP&E).\nManage accurate tracking, reporting, and valuation of inventory, fixed assets, and PP&E to ensure compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP) and company policies.\nAssist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, specifically related to asset management, ensuring high levels of accuracy and reliability.\nDevelop and maintain schedules for asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and amortization in line with accounting standards.\nImplement and manage processes for reconciling asset records, including periodic physical inventory counts and asset audits.\nEnsure timely and accurate reporting of asset-related data for inclusion in the Flash Financial Statements and monthly management packages.\nLead communications with external auditors related to asset management matters, ensuring alignment on accounting treatments, disclosures, and compliance with accounting standards.\nAssist with the annual audit and quarterly reviews as they pertain to asset management and related financial reporting.\nEstablish and maintain clear accounting policies and procedures specific to asset management, focusing on inventory, fixed assets, and PP&E.\nPerform regular assessments of asset management processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.\nMonitor and ensure compliance with internal control requirements and assist in the continuous improvement of asset management processes.\nSupport month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of asset transactions and reconciliations.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor's degree with concentration in accounting required.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.\n7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Public Accounting and/or the reporting function of a Mid-Size to Large Corporation.\nA minimum of 5 years of direct supervisory experience, with a proven record of employee development.\nExperience in researching complicated technical accounting issues and presenting to Senior Management. \nExperience in the airline industry and/or lot inventory accounting concepts preferred.\nSkills and Abilities:\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient with Word and Excel, and other office products.\nStrong technical accounting experience, with experience in researching complex accounting issues.\nDetail oriented, self-motivated, and strong organizational skills.\nAbility to multi-task and deliver accurate work products during busy periods.\nAbility to consider business and financial implications of projects and transactions.\nMust exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work products.\nIf you would like to see your career take flight, apply today!\nAersale is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
