This role will collaborate with sales, business development and the customer to provide a solution to the customers’ design problems.\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\nCreate Equivalency Validation Folders for new products introduced to the company’s capability.\n\nProduce Engineering Reports to customers when required\n\nAssist the Quality Department in producing Warranties Reports, Root Cause Analysis Reports, etc.\n\nDesign tooling and test fixtures are equivalent to the ones listed and required in the OEM’s component data. Will require but not limited to work with servo valves, servo motors, controllers, Pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, sensors (Pressure, Temperature, Torque, Velocity, Acceleration, RPM, Force) data collections systems, etc.\n\nLabVIEW Programming will be required for some complex projects.\n\nPerform engineering analysis (stress, FEA, fatigue) and apply problem-solving methods to support new product development and/or sustaining production of existing designs.\n\nApply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to facilitate inspection and manufacturing\n\nReview designs for completeness and proper application of engineering principles.\n\nWrite required documentation in support of new products introduction’s programs.\n\nInteraction with customers to clarify design intent and technical requirements.\n\nMaintain accurate, orderly project records, including design and test data, customer specifications, directives, etc.\n\nProvide training and assist the shop technicians as required to introduce new products.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering\n\nA minimum of 2 years’ experience in MRO of Aircraft Components is preferred.\n\nExperience producing prototype designs and working manufactures.\n\n Skills and Abilities:\nWorking knowledge of 3D modeling software (SolidWORKS preferred)\n\nStrength and stress analysis experience (hand calcs or FEA)\n\nStrong modeling skills.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nFamiliarity with manufacturing methods and processes.\n\nMechanical aptitude displayed through personal hobbies/projects\n\nAbility to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.\n\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).\n\nMust be able to multi-task.\n\nIf you would like to see your career take flight, apply today!\nAersale is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
