This role involves managing the construction phase of projects, ensuring the successful deployment of structured cabling, network hardware, and WiFi systems. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead on-site teams to deliver high-quality installations on time and within budget.\nRESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nProject Initiation and Planning:\nReview Contract to provide the Project Manager with project scope, timelines, and Tasks for low voltage and network installations.\nConduct and coordinate site surveys with Contractors to assess existing infrastructure and identify project requirements.\nCoordinate with stakeholders to develop detailed installation plans, including material and resource needs.\nProvide complete guidance and direction to selected Contractor/Installer to ensure 100% complete Low Voltage, OSP and Network Installation Design.\nPresent Complete and QC’ed LV and OSP design to the Engineering Team and provide handoff to Engineering.\n\nContractor Selection and Contract Intiation\nQualify selected contractor bids and present qualified/negotiated bid to Management for approval.\nConvert bid documentation and Scope of Work into Aerwave Construction Contract and route for execution.\n\nContractor/Installation Management:\nConduct Pre-construction kickoff meetings, virtually and/or on site - with full ownership of the agenda, submittals processes, job layouts and installation strategy and timeline\nProvide all pre-construction “before” photos and site tests (e.g. irrigation tests, etc.) to the Project Manager.\nOversee all construction and installation activities remotely and at project sites, ensuring adherence to plans, timelines and specifications.\nManage Contractor adherence to Scope of Work and Schedule, including supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, etc. to ensure work performance & efficiency.\nIdentify, vet, and onboard contractor resources for project deployments.\nTrain, monitor, & review contractor quality of work, reporting requirements, & general performance in the execution of project scope of work according to contractor deliverables, punch lists, documentation, & adherence to Aerwave construction standards and guidelines.\nMonitor daily operations to address challenges and maintain project progress.\nAct as Point of Contact for all work on site.\n\nMaterials Management\nEnsure Project Manager has all key dates for material needs.\nEnsures the vendor contractor has storage location for all Active Hardware components provided by Aerwave.\nEnsures contractor takes delivery, confirms inventory/checks-in, and assumes liability for all active hardware components provided by Aerwave.\n\nQuality Assurance and Compliance:\nEnsure installations comply with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI) and local building codes.\nConduct regular site inspections to verify the quality and integrity of low voltage cabling, fiber optics, and network hardware installations.\nMaintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and changes to plans.\n\nSafety Management:\nEnforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations at all project sites.\nConduct safety briefings and ensure proper use of equipment and tools.\nRespond promptly to safety incidents or hazards.\n\nTeam Coordination and Communication:\nServe as the primary management point of contact for project managers, vendor construction supervisors, vendor construction field engineers/technicians, and client-based construction POCs (GCs, site superintendents/project managers, contractors, and various trades).\nProvide regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.\nCoordinate with other trades and contractors to avoid delays or conflicts.\n\nConstruction Resource Management:\nEnsure Project Manager is aware of all key dates and resource needs to meet Project Schedule deadlines.\nWork with project management to track and report on project costs, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.\n\nTroubleshooting, Problem, and Conflict Resolution:\nIdentify and resolve technical or logistical issues during installations.\nWork closely with project managers (PMO), engineering teams, contractors, and clients to address and resolve unforeseen challenges.\nProactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation/Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field experience preferred.\n7+ years of experience in low voltage and network installation projects in a Multi-family environment, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.\nExperience with multifamily property projects.\nValid Driver's license.\nExpertise in structured cabling, fiber optics, and network, Wi-Fi, and PtP radio hardware installations.\nKnowledge of industry standards and best practices (e.g., BICSI, NEC).\nFamiliarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.\nBasic technical RF (radio frequency) knowledge.\nProficiency with hand tools.\nAbility to travel up to 80% of the time throughout the Unites States and flexibility to work extended hours or weekends to meet project deadlines.\nProficiency in the use of a computer, and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with preference given to design-related applications such as Visio, Bluebeam Revu, Ekahau, AutoCAD.\nStrong leadership and organizational skills.\nEffective communication and problem-solving abilities.\nDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and deadlines.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nGeneral understanding and operation of low voltage and networking tools and testing equipment, i.e. cable/fiber certifiers, OTDRs, fusion splicers, light meters, RF testing equipment.\nHighly organized and attentive to detail, with the ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (multi-task).\nEffective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company.\nEasily takes initiative and works independently.\nMaturity, professionalism, and good work ethic.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBICSI Technician Certification or RCDD.\nOSHA Construction Safety Certification.\nRelated Project Management training/experience.\nPhysical Demands / Work Environment:\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and work at heights up to 50 feet, and work in confined spaces or outdoor environments.\nAbility to work in hot, cold, and/or noisy environments.\nBenefits:\nJoin a dynamic, fast-growing company where you will have the opportunity to make an immediate, high-level impact to Aerwave’s growth and success.\nClear line of sight for career advancement and significant accomplishments.\nBase salary that is externally competitive and bonuses and ad-hoc recognition awards, that are based on efforts and tied to performance.\nWe work hard at Aerwave, and you will too.
