The ideal candidate will have solid networking expertise, hands-on field experience, and the ability to manage network performance across multiple sites. This role serves as a technical bridge between engineering design and operational support.\nRESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nDesign, implement, and support Layer 2/Layer 3 network infrastructure in MDU (multi-dwelling unit) environments.\nDeploy and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points at residential sites.\nTroubleshoot escalated network issues including packet loss, routing loops, and wireless interference.\nEnsure network reliability, redundancy, and uptime in line with SLAs and service standards.\nMaintain and update network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and change logs.\nCollaborate with project managers, field techs, and customer success teams to support property deployments and upgrades.\nConduct site assessments and capacity planning for new or expanding properties.\nMonitor network performance and proactively identify areas for optimization using SNMP and logging tools.\nAssist in implementing network security standards, including VLAN isolation, ACLs, and firewall rules.\nParticipate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work for scheduled maintenance.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n3-5 years of hands-on network engineering experience, preferably in an ISP or service provider environment.\nExperience supporting networks in multi-family or commercial building environments.\nBasic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, NAT, routing protocols).\nProficient in configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, MikroTik, Juniper, Ubiquiti).\nPractical experience with wireless networking and RF design for high-density residential deployments.\nComfortable using monitoring and diagnostic tools like Wireshark, PRTG, NetBox, or similar.\nFamiliarity with structured cabling, fiber optics, and PoE systems.\nFamiliarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching/routing.\nHands-on experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, or Ubiquiti.\nStrong proficiency in wireless networking, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.\nKnowledge of network monitoring tools and systems.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\nUnderstand critical milestones that drive operational excellence.\nWillingness to travel to local/regional multi-family sites occasionally.\nBasic technical knowledge.\nProficiency in the use of a computer, and software applications including Microsoft Office.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nHighly organized and attentive to detail, with the ability to work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously (multi-task).\nEffective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels, both within and outside the company.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision on a highly productive team.\nAbility to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.\nEasily takes initiative and works independently.\nMaturity, professionalism, and good work ethic.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertifications such as CCNA, CWNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.\nKnowledge of IPv6, PPPoE, or RADIUS authentication.\nExperience with MikroTik\nExperience with Ruckus\nExperience with managed WiFi networks.\nFamiliarity with ITIL practices.\nBenefits:\nJoin a dynamic, fast-growing company where you will have the opportunity to make an immediate, high-level impact to Aerwave’s growth and success.\nClear line of sight for career advancement and significant accomplishments.\nBase salary that is externally competitive and bonuses and ad-hoc recognition awards, that are based on efforts and tied to performance.\nWe work hard at Aerwave, and you will too.
