This hands-on role works closely with the Facilities Manager and team to maintain a safe, clean, reliable, and professional workplace.\nWhat you will do\nFacility Operations & Maintenance\nPerform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance throughout offices, warehouse, labs, common areas, and exterior spaces.\nTroubleshoot and perform minor repairs involving electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, doors, locks, walls, ceilings, flooring, furniture, and other building systems.\nIdentify issues requiring specialized or licensed contractors and coordinate service as needed.\nConduct regular facility inspections and maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and maintenance areas.\nPreventative Maintenance & Emergency Response\nComplete scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, service records, and work orders.\nMonitor facility systems and identify potential problems before they become major disruptions.\nParticipate in the emergency response program and provide 24/7 on-call support for facility emergencies, including leaks, flooding, power outages, HVAC failures, fire/life-safety issues, security concerns, spills, equipment failures, and building damage.\nRespond to non-emergency Facilities requests within 24 hours.\nSafety & Compliance\nConduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and follow through on corrective actions.\nFollow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and applicable regulations.\nSupport fire/life-safety inspections, emergency drills, and preparedness activities.\nMaintain safe access to exits, electrical panels, equipment areas, and designated safety zones.\nWarehouse & Employee Support\nMaintain organized and safe warehouse, storage, loading dock, and material-handling areas.\nAssist with moving and staging furniture, equipment, supplies, and materials.\nOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment when trained and authorized.\nSupport workstation setups, employee moves, office reconfigurations, furniture installation, meetings, and facility events.\nMaintain common areas, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and facility supplies.\nVendors, Contractors & Projects\nAssist the Facilities Manager with vendors, contractors, inspections, repairs, and facility projects.\nProvide site access and monitor contractor work for safety, quality, and completion.\nSupport facility moves, expansions, space changes, fleet areas, exterior areas, waste/recycling, and other facility projects as assigned.\nWhat you have\n5+ years of facilities, building maintenance, warehouse maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience preferred.\nWorking knowledge of general building systems and maintenance practices.\nBasic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, flooring, and general repairs.\nStrong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and provide excellent customer service.\nForklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.\nStrong commitment to safety and compliance.\nPhysical & Work Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various facility environments.\nAbility to safely lift and move approximately 50-100 lbs. with assistance or mechanical equipment when appropriate.\nAbility to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or after-hours shifts for emergencies or operational needs.\nKey Expectations\nMaintain a safe, clean, functional, and professional facility.\nRespond promptly to emergencies and employee requests.\nComplete preventative maintenance and documentation on schedule.\nTake ownership of issues from identification through resolution.\nCommunicate effectively with the Facilities Manager, employees, vendors, and contractors.\nSupport cost-effective solutions while maintaining safety and
