This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong programming skills, a passion for data analysis, and experience in building robust test solutions for complex systems.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nDesign, develop, and deploy V&V hardware and software test solutions, systems, and automated test fixtures necessary for comprehensive Lidar sensor characterisation and validation.\nContribute significantly to the implementation and maintenance of the test software architecture using industry best practices.\nUtilize strong Python skills to develop scripts and programs for test automation, data acquisition from sensors, and post-processing of results.\nDesign and develop scenes containing objects placed at several range locations to characterize Lidar systems is a controlled environment.\nExecute detailed test plans, protocols, and test cases (functional, performance, reliability, environmental, etc.) on Lidar systems.\nManage, process, and analyze large datasets generated from testing activities to identify performance trends, system anomalies, and root causes of failures.\nGenerate accurate and timely V&V reports, including detailed test results, summaries, and documentation required for compliance and internal review.\nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Hardware, Software) to review requirements, ensure testability, and drive timely issue resolution.\nParticipate in defining and refining the overall V&V strategy and best practices under the guidance of the V&V Manager.\nWhat you'll have:\nBS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.\nMinimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Verification and Validation, Test Engineering, or Quality Assurance for complex hardware/software systems.\nExperience working with electromechanical or optical systems (experience with Lidar or similar sensor technology is a strong plus).\nStrong proficiency in Python for test scripting, automation, and data analysis.\nProven experience contributing to or implementing test software architecture and frameworks.\nExperience with data analysis techniques and tools for handling large datasets (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, MATLAB).\nFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).\nKnowledge of measurement instruments and data acquisition hardware.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability in report generation.\nHighly analytical, methodical approach to problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.\nNice to Have\nSystem-level understanding of Lidar systems, including optics, mechanics, signal processing, and embedded software.\nExperience with Lidar perception concepts (e.g., point cloud processing, object detection) or
