The team is multidisciplinary and works on complex problems that require high precision and high reliability - pushing the limits of materials, controls, and manufacturing.\nWe are looking for an engineer with expertise in controls along with strong embedded programming and electronics experience. You will be responsible for designing and implementing controllers for our actuators. You will be doing hands-on design, implementation, evaluation and debugging of the performance of the controller, actuator and associated electronics\nWhat you will be doing\nDeveloping, testing and analyzing control architectures and improvements.\nImplementing controller changes in C.\nRoot-causing control performance issues with embedded, electrical and mechanical engineers.\nTesting and qualifying changes by coordinating with the reliability and test team to identify the appropriate test conditions, collect relevant data and present the results for approval. \nWhat will you have\nTechnical:\n3+ years of experience developing controls for motion control applications. \nStrong fundamentals in control design - PID, frequency domain, state space. \nExperience implementing real-time, production-level firmware in C. \nAbility to prototype controller designs and analyze data in Matlab and Python. \nWorking knowledge of motors, encoders, motor drivers, ADCs and microcontrollers. \nMaster’s level coursework in controls and embedded programming. \nPersonality:\nSelf-driven with ability to take complete ownership of projects \nStrong communication skills to work cross functionally \nAbility to juggle multiple projects \nEnjoy a fast-paced and dynamic environment \nNice to have\nPractical experience controlling motors (Brushed DC, BLDC, VCM, MEMS).\nHands-on experience in developing and debugging motion control electronics (motor drivers, ADCs, encoders). \nExperience in deploying firmware for automotive, medical or aerospace industries.
