This role ensures that engineering projects, documentation, and processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with organizational standards. The specialist serves as a key liaison between engineering, production, vendors, and cross-functional departments to maintain smooth workflow and resolve issues quickly.\nEssential Functions\nProvide day-to-day technical and administrative support to engineering leadership.\nAssist with creation, revision, and organization of engineering documentation, including briefing materials, meeting minutes, SOPs, and data reports.\nSupport Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) activities, including entering purchase requisitions, receiving invoices, and auditing data.\nAssisting with managing contractor timesheets and other staffing needs, as required.\nTroubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate engineering personnel.\nGather data, prepare reports and develop PowerBI dashboards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate with operations, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical discrepancies or clarify engineering requirements.\nAssist with scheduling activities and meetings, tracking action items, and leading special projects.\nMaintain organized engineering files, logs, and reference materials.\nPerform other duties as required.\nStandard Essential Functions\nRegular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].\nResponsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.\nEmbodies AEVEX’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.\nQualifications and Competencies\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.\nStrong expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint with an ability to translate complex data into simple, visual executive summaries.\nStrong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, basic formulas, and data formatting.\nExperience or familiarity with tracking technical invoices, working with procurement/supply chain, or navigating ERP workflows\nProblem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.\nExceptional organization and communication skills, with a high attention to detail when managing company data systems.\nKnowledge of ISO standards or other quality systems preferred.\nEducation / Certifications\nAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics,or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).\nExperience\n2+ years of experience in an engineering support, program support, or data analyst role\n2+ years of experience with PowerBI or other data analytics tools\nExperience with PowerBI, Jira, Visio and Confluence preferred.\nExperience with PLM, ERP, or document-control systems.\nBackground in manufacturing, hardware, or technology industries preferred.\nBackground in Defense Contracting or US Military experience preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
