You'll have opportunities to explore a variety of projects and engage with a talented team of engineers to share knowledge and expertise.\nEssential Functions\nTroubleshoot electronic systems to identify and resolve issues\nDiagnose and repair circuit boards\nSolder PCBs with Surface-Mounted Components (SMCs)\nTest circuit boards using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment\nPerform SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) soldering on circuit boards\nSolder wire harnesses and making cables based on minimal documentation\nModify circuit boards using wire jumpers and PCB trace modifications\nSupport 5S and Lean processes to maintain a clean and efficient work environment\nDocument test procedures and data for repeatability and consistency\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of testing and projects\nAssist in the construction of testing platforms and event setups\nReview and interpret PCB layouts for accurate implementation\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nStandard Essential Functions\nRegular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].\nResponsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.\nEmbodies AEVEX’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.\nQualifications and Competencies\nSolid knowledge of Electrical SMT and Software\nKnowledge of Analog, Digital, and Power circuits\nAbility to understand schematics, assembly drawings, and PCB layout\nUnderstanding of Electrical equipment (O-Scopes, DMM)\nKnowledge of SMT Soldering (Micro-soldering)\nKnowledge on Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power point, ect.)\nAbility to work well in a team as well as collaborate with other teams\nAble to obtain new skills quickly\nAble to work with supervision\nAbility to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; able to support project tasks, scope change, and schedules to keep technical projects on-track\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nPreferred Knowledge in:Altium PCB layout software\nCable wiring for RC planes\nUnderstanding Gas engines\nUnderstanding electrical motors\nJ-Standard\n\nEducation / Certifications\nAssociate degree in engineering or technical field required.\nExperience\n3-5 years of experience as an engineering technician or other relevant technical field\nEquivalent documented work experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable\nExperience with troubleshooting PCB’s and electrical system\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
