This role works closely with warehouse supervisors, production planning, procurement, and quality to minimize stockouts, reduce errors, and drive improvements in warehouse efficiency and inventory control.\nEssential Functions\nPerform root-cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, bin accuracy issues, and transactional errors, drive corrective and preventive actions.\nProvide informed recommendations to management across business functions that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and material flow.\nCoordinate cycle counts, location audits, and full physical inventories; ensure count procedures comply with company policies.\nReview and maintain accurate item and location data within the ERP system, including stocking locations, units of measure, lot/serial tracking.\nDevelop and maintain inventory performance reports and KPIs such as inventory accuracy, fill rate, cycle count effectiveness, and aging inventory.\nMonitor inventory usage and provide management with guidance on Excess and Obsolete (E/O) recommendations.\nImprove material handling processes, and storage optimization to enhance space utilization and pick/put efficiency.\nMonitor slow-moving, damaged, expired, or obsolete stock, work with operations and planning teams on disposition or rework strategies.\nEnsure proper execution of warehouse transactions such as receipts, transfers, adjustments, issues, and returns, train staff when necessary.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse layout, process standardization, barcode scanning, and material flow.\nCollaborate with Production Control and Planning teams to ensure timely and accurate material staging, kitting, and replenishment.\nProvide leadership within the inventory control function.\nPerform other duties as required.\nStandard Essential Functions\nRegular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].\nResponsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.\nEmbodies AEVEX’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.\nQualifications and Competencies\nStrong understanding of WMS/ERP systems and warehouse processes such as receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping.\nStrong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.\nExcellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.\nExcellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally with warehouse operations, planning, procurement, and quality teams.\nExcellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.\nStrong knowledge of lean warehousing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred\nFamiliarity with manufacturing material flow, kitting, or line-side replenishment preferred\nEducation / Certifications\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, logistics or other relevant field.\nAPICS Certification (Preferred)\nExperience\n5+ years of inventory control or warehouse operations experience, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.\nExperience in aerospace and defense industry a plus.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
