Joining Affidea means becoming part of a dynamic international organization where you can help shape the future of healthcare while making a meaningful difference for patients every day.\nAbout the roleAs a Server Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security and performance of Affidea's IT infrastructure across Switzerland.\nYou will design, implement, operate and continuously improve server and system environments supporting critical healthcare services. Acting as the infrastructure expert, you will contribute to strategic IT projects, define infrastructure standards and support the evolution of our technology landscape.\nYour responsibilitiesGather and prioritize infrastructure requirements from projects and business stakeholders\n\nDesign, implement and maintain server and storage infrastructure\n\nPrepare and review technical specifications\n\nRepresent server infrastructure in IT projects and governance meetings\n\nCollaborate closely with network, security and application teams\n\nManage the server asset inventory and infrastructure lifecycle\n\nPlan capacity, investments and hardware replacement\n\nCoordinate supplier selection and procurement activities\n\nDefine infrastructure standards (Windows Server, Linux, VMware, patch management, virtualization)\n\nMaintain accurate technical documentation\n\nProvide 2nd level support across Switzerland\n\nCoordinate 3rd level support with the Group IT teams\n\nManage external infrastructure providers\n\nProactively communicate risks, issues and improvement opportunities\n\nWe are looking for someone who brings both strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset.\nTechnical skillsProven experience as a Server Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role\n\nStrong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration\n\nSolid experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V, VDI)\n\nExperience with server, storage and infrastructure lifecycle management\n\nGood understanding of infrastructure security, patch management and system administration\n\nExperience working with external vendors and IT service providers\n\nExperience participating in infrastructure or digital transformation projects\n\nPersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nStructured, organized and solution-oriented mindset\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\n\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nHigh level of accountability and ownership\n\nCollaborative team player with a proactive attitude\n\nLanguagesFluent English is required\n\nFluent French or German is
