Our team is collaborative, driven, and committed to growing the business of every partner we serve.\nPosition Summary\nThe Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records across Affinity Group's Food Service and Retail divisions. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this role handles day-to-day bookkeeping functions, supports month-end close, and ensures that financial data is organized, reconciled, and ready for reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-moving sales and brokerage environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounts Payable & Receivable\nProcess vendor invoices, expense reports, and check requests accurately and on time.\nRecord and apply customer payments; follow up on outstanding receivables.\nReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and external partners.\nGeneral Ledger & Month-End Close\nMaintain the general ledger; post journal entries weekly.\nReconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.\nSupport the month-end and year-end close process by preparing schedules and variance analyses.\nPayroll & Expense Support\nAssist with payroll processing and reconciliation.\nReview and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policy.\nCross-Divisional Coordination\nMaintain accurate records for both the Food Service and Retail divisions, keeping accounts properly coded and segmented.\nWork closely with the sales, operations, and brokerage teams to resolve coding questions and support vendor or customer inquiries.\nQualifications\nRequired\n2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.\nProficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar accounting software.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).\nSolid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.\nPreferred\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).\nExperience with food brokerage, distributor, or multi-division accounting environments.\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.\n401(k) with company match.\nPaid time off and company holidays.\nA collaborative, supportive team culture with opportunities for growth.\nHow to Apply\nInterested candidates should submit a resume and a brief cover letter to [HR contact / application link].
