By investing in our people, we create a long-term advantage for the business.\nAbout the Role\nAffirm is seeking an experienced, people-focused, and hands-on Manager to lead a distributed Workplace team and the day-to-day operations and evolution of our Workplace function within the broader Places & Experiences team. Based out of our San Francisco HQ office and reporting to the Senior Manager of Real Estate & Workplace, this role will focus on delivering exceptional workplace experiences that support connection, productivity, and flexibility in a remote-first environment. This leader will play a critical role in ensuring our spaces are thoughtfully operated, consistently engaging, and aligned with Affirm’s culture and ways of working.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn the North America workplace strategy and operating model, aligning office experience with business priorities, headcount planning, and ways of working.\nTranslate company and team needs into workplace plans, including capacity, service levels, and programming across all locations.\nMake and drive decisions on workplace standards, policies, and investments, balancing employee experience, cost, and scalability.\nEstablish and track key performance metrics (e.g., employee experience, utilization, vendor performance, budget adherence) and drive continuous improvement.\nProvide functional leadership across locations, ensuring consistency while adapting to local needs.\nDevelop and implement workplace programs, standards, and initiatives that bring consistency, functionality, and delight to our spaces.\nEnsure offices are operated to foster collaboration, connection, and productivity for a primarily remote workforce.\nOversee workplace policies, procedures, and service delivery to ensure operational excellence and scalability.\nManage vendor relationships across workplace services (e.g., facilities, hospitality, office services), ensuring strong performance and cost efficiency.\nPartner cross-functionally with teams such as People, IT, and Finance to deliver holistic workplace solutions.\nSupport office activations, events, and programming that strengthen culture and employee engagement.\nPartner with the Senior Manager of Real Estate & Workplace and broader team on workplace and real estate projects, taking hands-on ownership of operational workstreams such as coordinating vendors and installations, scheduling construction activity, and supporting office refreshes and improvements. \nLead, coach, and empower a distributed Workplace team across North America by providing strong in-person and remote leadership, setting clear priorities and expectations, developing team members, and creating meaningful ownership and accountability across the team.\nWhat We Look For\n6-10 years of experience in workplace, facilities, hospitality, or office operations roles, ideally in a dynamic and hybrid/remote-first environment.\nDemonstrated success managing and developing distributed teams, with strong remote and in-person leadership skills.\nA proven track record of empowering team members through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and delegated ownership.\nExperience owning multi-site or regional operations.\nA hands-on, team-first approach and willingness to step into adjacent operational needs when necessary, particularly where Workplace and Real Estate intersect. \nStrong expertise in workplace operations, employee experience, and service delivery.\nExposure to scaling operations or building programs from scratch.\nExcellent operational and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.\nExperience managing vendors and workplace budgets, with a focus on quality and efficiency.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.\nComfort navigating ambiguity and evolving workplace strategies in a hybrid environment.\nWhile Affirm operates as a remote-first company, this role is expected to work regularly in person from our San Francisco office. Candidates must therefore be based in the Bay Area, willing to commute or willing to relocate prior to their start date.\nPay Grade -K\nEquity Grade - 6\nEmployees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)\nUSA California base pay range per year: $145,000 - $205,000\nPlease note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nRemote-first with flexibility built in\n Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company.
