This will prove extremely beneficial to our customers and our employees.\nWith our commitment to professional growth and employee development, let AFL “Connect” you to your next career opportunity!\nGoogle Fiber- Lead Drop Technician\nApplicants must meet the following 4 criteria to be eligible for consideration,NO exceptions:\n1.6+months’ experience working for ITC Service Group on Google Fiber.\n2.Experience past or present working on a Drop Tech Team.\n3.Must be in good standing (no formal warnings) for the past 6 months.\n4.Must have record of performing consistently above expectations on metrics.\nAdditional consideration will be given to applicants with education, certifications or work experience (knowledge, skills and abilities) “KSA”s that exceed key competencies required for the position.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nResponsible for actively listening, learning and following instructions from foreman or immediate supervisor.\n\nAssist with excavation & pulling equipment.\n\nPerforms required labor involved in construction and maintenance projects as part of a crew, including ditch digging, pulling fiber, etc.\n\nResponsible for the basic knowledge of first aid help.\n\nResponsible for knowing all safety requirements on the job site.\n\nPerforms daily functions sometimes with power tools and hand tools.\n\nResponsible for working well with others and supervisor. Display courtesy to customers and the general public. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and the public; ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions\n\nAssist with the Restoration of landscape to original or better condition once work is completed.\n\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nGeneral labor on construction sites\n\nLoad and unload structure materials and move materials in work areas\n\nLifting at least 50+ lbs. daily\n\nAssisting a journeymen level trade person in a variety of field activities\n\nMaintain tools and equipment\n\nGeneral cleanup of job site\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience splicing & drop work\n\nReliable transportation to and from the job sites\n\nWork boots, appropriate work attire\n\nAbility to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year\n\nAbility and willingness to follow direction from Supervisor\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nWork involves standing, talking, hearing, using hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell. Skill in operation of some of the listed tools and equipment; and ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must frequently push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in inclement weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration.
