With our commitment to professional growth and employee development, let AFL “Connect” you to your next career opportunity!\nJob Summary\nUnder the supervision and direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for creating a functional work environment via maintenance of the warehouse, inventory and data entry. The incumbent is also responsible for developing and delivering training to warehouse staff to ensure safety protocols are upheld.\nResponsibilities\nConduct audits of the warehouse to identify any safety hazards both inside and outside the warehouse premises\nMitigate any identified safety issues in a timely manner\nGreet all visitors to the warehouse and answer queries accordingly\nCommunicate regularly with both management and technicians\nGreet and assess needs of all technicians\nOrient new technicians and out of town deployed technicians\nCommunicate inventory changes, shortages to management and technicians\nInterpret and fill technicians material orders\nAnswer all queries via phone, email or in person\nComplete stock handling of company assets including, but not limited to:\nPhysically receive items into the stock\nFill out necessary paperwork\nLabel and face boxes accurately\nStock shelves for easy identification and safety\nParticipate in cycle counts or inventory spot checks and communicate stock levels to the supervisor(s)\nMaintain ease of accessibility, cleanliness and safety of stock acquisition for both warehouse staff and technicians\nOrganize delivery of materials leaving the warehouse including palletizing, wrapping, communicating with delivery services\nCreate, maintain and collect sign out sheets\nCreate documents and training manuals on an as needed basis\nUpdate documents as required including data changes\nTrain staff to locate and utilize documents\nCreate, maintain and upload data in a timely manner including but not limited to sign out sheets, purchase order receiving, client receiving, material order logs, ship requests for material transfers and tracking\nUpload all information and documents into centralized database for easy access to the materials team and auditors\nLook for opportunities and make recommendations for cost saving initiatives\nMaintain a safe, clean, organized work environment\nAct in capacity of First Aid attendant and create and maintain all first aid checklists and first aid kits\nEnhance the Organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment\nAdhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL\nSupport Warehouse Associate I functions when time permits\nSupport maintenance of high standards in housekeeping to promote safe work environment\nPerform other duties as requested, directed or assigned\nPersonal Qualities\nFlexible - open to change & new information and rapidly adapts to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles\nDetail oriented - excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks\nIndependent - ability to work well under limited supervision\nAnalytical Thinking/Problem Solving - capable of complex reasoning analysis\nResults focused - driven to achieve\nInterpersonal skills - able to collaborate on projects, maintain effective relationships, and communicate clearly at all levels of the business\nAdaptability - capable of working in a fast-paced environment, adapt to various situations, and prioritize multiple work assignments simultaneously\nTeam Player skills - Possess strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives at appropriate times\nAbility to work independently in an entrepreneurial mind-set.\nValid Forklift Ticket an asset\nQualifications\nMinimum 3+ experience with shipping and receiving, stock keeping, and managing inventory\nExperience with Telecom materials is an asset\nProficient in MS Office, specifically Excel\nHighly developed data entry skills with both speed and accuracy\nAble to carry and lift product exceeding 30 lbs.\nNormal color vision to work with color-coded wiring\nWorking Conditions\nNormal office environment.\nGeneral hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.\nSome minimal travel may be required.\nMinimum Education\nPreferred Degree or Type\nB.A. or equivalent experience\nBusiness Administration/Engineering\nDisclaimer: This job description does not constitute a “contract” between the employee and the employer.
