This person must be diligent in adhering to procedures, focused on producing the best quality products, being highly productive and mindful of costs. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a challenging, dynamic, team-based manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nAdhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.\nMonitor production and conduct efficient machine changeovers.\nEnsure product meets quality specifications and daily production goals are achieved.\nAccurately enter production and quality data using a computer.\nAchieve and maintain assigned production process certifications.\nMaintain assigned work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.\nAssist other operators with machine set-up and operation as needed.\nDocument and report quality issues.\nComplete assigned preventative maintenance tasks on time.\nPerform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.\nPersonal Qualities\nAnalytical Thinking - Exceptional ability to analyze data and utilize it to make sound decisions.\nConflict Management and Resolution Skills - Build consensus, anticipate and solve problems.\nResults focused - Ability to organize and manage multiple, and at time competing priorities.\nCommunication Skills - Demonstrate communication skills necessary to interpret policies in situations requiring persuasion and prepare and present presentations.\nRelationship building skills- ability to work within a dynamic team setting and provide role model leadership to AFL workforce.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred or a 1+ years manufacturing experience.\nPhysical demands:\nJob involves sitting, standing, walking and lifting for periods of time throughout the day.\nAble to pass pre-employment physical / drug screen and ongoing random drug screens.\nMust be able to lift between 15 and 40 pounds repeatedly daily.\nPersonal protective equipment requirements:\nSafety Glasses must be always worn.\nSteel toes shoes must be always worn.\nSome positions will require ear plugs to be always worn.\nSelf-starter with integrity and confidence who strives to achieve even the most challenging environments with limited supervision.\nAble to comprehend and follow work instructions, apply basic math, and use handheld measurement devices.\nTeam player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle a plus.\nGeneral understanding of manufacturing operations.\nGood time management.\nSchedule: 2nd Shift -
