And if Pega is not something you have commercial experience with, we will provide full training and certification to get you up to speed with the product - it will be the first step of a continuous learning journey at Aflac Northern Ireland!\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDelivering high-quality, tested, secure customer-centric solutions using the Pega platform\nIntegration of different technical components (web, API, database, UI, etc) to develop full-stack capabilities for Pega solutions\nParticipating in daily stand-ups and contributing to an Agile development team that values the opinion of everyone in the team\nUtilising a range of tools and technologies that vary depending on the product and the needs of the customer\nContinually growing and developing your technical skills through self-learning, exposure to new projects, and being curious\nListening to the inputs of others and working towards the best solution design that maximises the value to the policyholder, without ego or prejudice\nSolving complex problems alongside fellow team members\nImplementing automation through a CI/CD delivery process, employing DevOps techniques \nWhat you should have\nBelow is an overview of the skills and experience we are looking for, but remember, don’t rule yourself out if you don’t have everything on the list - it’s your intellect and your attitude we are really after.\nEssential\n5+ years of IT experience with n-tier, database, networking or client server design/development\nSoftware development or scripting experience in any technology/language\nKnowledge and experience of DevOps as part of Agile software development\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nSolid fundamentals in Object Oriented concepts\nBachelor’s or Masters degree, preferably in a Software Development, Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM subject.
