The most useful thing you can do here is write code.\nYour Impact\nYou'll build AI agents that feed our context layer. At Afori, we want to deeply understand our customers and the risks they're exposed to by extracting and synthesizing structured and unstructured data points from multiple channels. You'll design new methodologies for data extraction and context engineering so our agents can advise and serve our customers in the best possible way.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSystem Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for AI agent orchestration and real-time data processing.\nBuild AI agents: Take full ownership in building new AI agents that take over backoffice work on behalf of the broker \n AI/ML Collaboration: Partner with AI/ML teams to deploy models into production (e.g., customer insights, task automation).\nPerformance Optimization: Optimize APIs and microservices for speed, security, and simplicity.\nProblem-Solving: Tackle complex challenges in data integration, workflow automation, and system reliability.\nCollaboration: Being honest in code reviews and design talks, and keeping the bar high.\nCustomer focus: Working with the business side so what you build actually solves what brokers struggle with.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nTechnical Skills:\n5+ years building backend systems in NodeJS & Typescript.\nExpertise in cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure) & Docker.\nStrong experience withRAG creation & management, context engineering and agentic memory creation\nStrongRESTful API design experience.\nProficiency with relational (PostgreSQL) and distributed systems.\nExperience in Kubernetes & Infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) is a plus.\nExperience with AI/ML pipelines (model deployment, MLOps) is a strong plus.\nFamiliarity building with LLMs / agentic workflows would be a plus.\nCultural Fit:\nYou thrive in a high-performance team that moves fast and appreciates data.\nYou’re hands-on: You do not stop until 100% of the task is delivered \nYou embody “there’s always a solution”.
