We currently manage 24 protected areas across 13 African countries, including Zambia.\nPurpose of the Role\nThe Assistant Accountant will support the Finance Department by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.\nKey Responsibilities\nCapture financial transactions accurately in Serenic.\nMaintain and circulate the Invoice Tracker and follow up on outstanding invoices.\nPrepare and update work and salary advances schedules.\nReconcile petty cash daily and prepare monthly cash count reports.\nPrepare monthly statutory reconciliations (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, etc.).\nOrganize and maintain finance records and supporting documents.\nEnsure compliance with finance policies and internal controls.\nPerform any other duties assigned by Management.\nQualifications and Experience\nDiploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\nProfessional qualification (ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia, or equivalent) is an added advantage.\nAt least 2 years' experience in an accounting or finance role.\nProficiency in Serenic, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting systems.\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nHigh level of integrity and confidentiality.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\nHow to Apply\nInterested candidates should submit their CV, cover letter, and relevant supporting documents through the Simplify-HR Platform no later than 15 July 2026.\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.\nAfrican Parks is an equal opportunity employer.
