Our teams work on a wide range of renewable energy and power projects across Southeast Asia and internationally.\nAs our renewable energy business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated Renewable Energy / Wind Power Intern to join our team in Bangkok, Thailand.\nThe intern will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced wind energy engineers and consultants and gain practical exposure to real renewable energy projects in Southeast Asia and internationally. The role will provide hands-on experience in areas such as wind resource assessment, energy yield analysis, technical due diligence, engineering data analysis, software tools and automation.\nPreferred internship duration: 4-6 months, with flexibility depending on university requirements and candidate availability.\nApplicants must already have the legal right to live and work in Thailand. AFRY is unable to provide visa or work permit sponsorship for this internship.\nSupport wind energy engineers and consultants in ongoing renewable energy projects.\n\nAssist with wind resource assessment and energy yield analysis.\n\nSupport the preparation and processing of technical and project data.\n\nAssist in developing engineering tools, data-processing workflows and automation using Python, Excel or similar software.\n\nSupport technical due diligence and renewable energy project development activities.\n\nPerform data analysis, quality checks and preparation of technical information for engineering studies and reports.\n\nSupport the team with research and other technical tasks related to wind and renewable energy projects.\n\n Education\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline, such as:\nMechanical, Electrical, Energy or Renewable Energy Engineering\n\nComputer Science or Computer Engineering\n\nData Science or Statistics\n\nPhysics or Mathematics\n\nOther relevant technical disciplines\n\nTechnical Skills\nBasic to intermediate proficiency in Python and/or Microsoft Excel.\n\nBasic understanding of statistics and data analysis.\n\nExperience with Pandas, NumPy, MATLAB or similar analytical tools is an advantage.\n\nInterest in engineering software development, data processing and automation.\n\nPrevious exposure to wind energy, GIS or renewable energy software is an advantage but not required.\n\nOther Skills\nStrong interest in wind energy, renewable energy and engineering applications.\n\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood written and spoken English.\n\nGood communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.\n\nWillingness to learn new technical concepts, engineering methods and software.\n\nWe offer the following to qualified candidates:\nPractical experience working on real wind energy projects in Southeast Asia and internationally.\nOpportunity to work directly with experienced wind energy engineers and consultants.\nExposure to wind resource assessment, energy yield analysis, technical due diligence and renewable energy project development.\nHands-on experience developing engineering tools, data-analysis workflows and automation.\nInternational and multidisciplinary working environment.\nOpportunity to develop skills and experience relevant to a future career in wind energy and renewable energy consulting.\nPotential opportunity to continue with AFRY after the internship, subject to performance and business needs.\nAt AFRY, we engineer change in everything we do.
