Make A Difference.\nPOSITION DESCRIPTION\nTITLE: Digital Content Intern\nJOB CATEGORY: Non-Exempt (Hourly)\nSTATUS: Part-Time, 20 hours per week\nTYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary for 8 months\nDIRECT SUPERVISOR: Director of Online Engagement\nREGION/UNIT: US/CENTRAL OFFICE\nLOCATION: Philadelphia, PA, USA Hybrid in Philadelphia or remote work considered.\nAPPLICATION DEADLINE: November 11,2026\nFor consideration, please attach your Cover Letter and Resume to the online application in addition to answering the Application Questions.\nGENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION\n The Digital Content Intern will assist the Communications Department in planning, creating, and posting digital content to AFSC’s many platforms, including social media, web pages, emails, donation pages, and sign-up forms.\nOver the course of the internship, the intern will learn how to plan and implement digital content strategies that connect with larger multi-platform marketing plans. They will gain experience in a multidisciplinary team, content planning, and digital fundraising.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES\nAssist the Social Media Manager in monitoring and posting and scheduling content to AFSC social media channels.\nAssist in researching and drafting social media posts that align with AFSC’s issue areas and adhere to AFSC’s brand guide.\nPost content on AFSC.org: Review key content on afsc.org and ensure it is optimized for social media sharing. Assist in updating and posting content as needed.\nAssist with constituent relationship management: Assist in CRM maintenance, creating reports, and producing emails and advocacy alerts.\nAssist with photo collections and editing: Upload photo sets into our Photobase. Look for photo options for specific outreach and assist with photo editing.\nHelp with editing and proofreading: Support communications that can appear in a range of platforms.\nAssist with reporting and analytics: Support reporting and data analytics to help track the effectiveness of communications.\nRegular attendance and punctuality are required.\nOperates safely in all conditions and follows policies and procedures.\nOther duties and projects as assigned.\nSUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS\nNo direct supervisory responsibilities.\nMINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or related field required. Current enrollment in a college degree program preferred.\nMinimum one year of experience in Canva, editing tools in social media and or creating graphics for social media and other digital platforms. Additional experience in Edits App, Microsoft Office, including excel, and CRMs preferred.\nExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Familiarity with best practices for writing for the web desirable.\nAbility to work evenings and/or weekends and to travel, as required.\nAbility to work effectively independently and within a team environment.\nExperience with standard Microsoft Office and related technology.\nMust be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.\nDemonstrated ability to work and communicate with diverse staff.\nRespect for Quaker values and testimonies.
