Commitment and attention to detail are crucial qualities.\nFull-time, hourly onsite position in Englewood, CO\nJob Requirements\nPreferably 2 + years of janitorial/or related work experience.\nKnowledge of cleaning chemicals.\nPrevious safety training and/or certifications related to janitorial work.\nEffective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.\nAbility to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.\nAbility to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.\nOrganization and attention to detail\nJob Responsibilities & Duties\nTypical duties include but are not limited to:\nClean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.\n\nGather and empty trash.\n\nClean restroom areas, top to bottom, including men’s, women’s and unisex restrooms and supply restrooms, break rooms or other areas with supplies.\n\nSigning off on cleaning logs signifying that the area was cleaned thoroughly.\n\nDust, clean and polish furniture and fixtures.\n\nClean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.\n\nMix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.\n\nSteam-clean or shampoo carpets.\n\nFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.\n\nMonitor safety by performing such tasks as locking doors and checking electrical equipment use to ensure that hazards are not created.\n\nNotify managers concerning the need for major repairs to building operating systems.\n\nRequisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.\n\nKnowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE).\n\nKnowledge of blood borne pathogens (BBP) and the ability to safely clean blood borne pathogens (BBP).\n\nOther duties as assigned by supervisor.\n\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities\nEducation & Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED is preferred.\nCompensation\nPay Rate: Starting at $17/hour and up - dependent on experience\n\nAt AFW we offer great perks: weekly pay, benefits package (medical, dental, vision), life insurance, vacation and sick pay, an employee discount, 401k matching, and more!\n\nPhysical Requirements\nCapacity to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.\nCapability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily.\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks, manual dexterity\nVision abilities required include close, distance and depth perception\nLifting of 50 pounds\nAbility to walk long distance on hard surfaces\nAble to work in variable environments with different lighting, loud exterior noise, and flooring.\n\nWork Environment\nFluorescent Lighting\nConcrete Flooring\nClimate may be affected by outside conditions\nConsiderable exterior noise\nExtreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse\nIf you want to know more about American Furniture Warehouse and what we do click on the link below!\nhttps://youtu.be/QjaYn_sn_AM\nAmerican Furniture Warehouse is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.
