You are ambassadors of the brand!\nHave and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record with 2 or less moving violations within the past 3 years. \nObtain and maintain a D.O.T. physical card. (We pay for this)\nMust own your own hand tools. (We help with that, too)\nWork closely and collaborate with a partner to perform deliveries.\nMust be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies, including Dispatch Track and iPad. \nMore about the job:\nDrivers work 5-6 days a week. It is often 6 days during busy seasons. We start early. Get in. Get out.\nMake customers happy. Go home.\nAssemble/disassemble furniture correctly and efficiently using a variety of tools.\nEfficiently and safely load and unload furniture to and from a delivery truck.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain merchandise and policies to customers.\nAbility to team lift merchandise off and on a box truck and in and out of a customer’s home.\nWork safely.\nWork in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment for an extended period.\nAble to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.\nBe able to work independently with little supervision.\nPartner with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency, and exceed customer service expectations.\n Job Responsibilities & Duties\nServe as a professional and courteous representative of American Furniture Warehouse, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and exceptional customer service at all times.\nDrive a company delivery box truck on assigned delivery route. \nUse company-provided technology platforms such as Dispatch Track and iPads to manage deliveries and track progress.\nAssemble and disassemble furniture with precision and care, using appropriate tools to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.\nLoad and unload merchandise safely and efficiently from delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment, including forklifts, reach lifts, and pallet jacks.\nWork as a team to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 250 lbs., both in the warehouse and in customer homes.\nCommunicate professionally and effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors, including explaining product features and company policies.\nDemonstrate the ability to work independently, manage tasks with minimal supervision, and show strong personal initiative.\nPerform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment for extended periods.\nMaintain excellent time management and organizational skills throughout each shift.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments to improve operational efficiency and exceed customer expectations.\nFollow all company safety protocols, contributing to a consistently safe work environment.\nAccurately read and verify invoices and UPC labels to ensure correct merchandise is prepared for delivery.\nConduct thorough pre-delivery inspections and inventory checks to confirm order accuracy and condition of merchandise.\nPresent a neat, clean, and professional appearance in accordance with company standards.\nBe available to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.\nParticipate in all required company-provided training programs, which are fully paid for by AFW.\nPhysical Requirements\nRequires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas, not limited to but including stairways, hallways, and elevators.\nRequires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 10 hours or more daily.\nRequires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.\nIt requires lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling all merchandise sizes up to 100 lbs frequently and the ability to handle/manipulate up to 250 lbs. frequently.\nAble to work in various weather conditions.
