The Commercial Manager works closely with Marketing, Sales, and Innovation teams to analyse performance and generate actionable insights to ensure our brands outperform in the market. The role holder will be the heartbeat of the brands in the business, driving pace, working cross-functionally, and leading with a strategic mindset to deliver groundbreaking growth in FMCG.\nAs our Commercial Manager for Soft Drinks, you will:\nDevelop and execute the commercial strategy across key brands, driving volume, revenue, and margin delivery in line with overarching business ambition.\nLead channel-level promotional planning, identifying profitable growth headroom while proactively managing market & customer risks.\nEstablish rigorous post-promotional evaluation (ROI) frameworks to continuously audit trade investment and refine promotional guidelines.\nOwn end-to-end commercial reporting on our key brands, tracking brand P&L health, market share, distribution and rate-of-sale metrics to diagnose performance drivers.\nMonitor macroeconomic shifts, legislative changes, and competitor moves to formulate proactive commercial response plans.\nTranslate retailer, category, and consumer data into compelling selling propositions for customer engagement days and JBPs.\nCommercial lead for key brands innovation pipeline, evaluating revenue potential, profitability and cannibalisation risks, while delivering winning go-to-market strategies with measurable KPIs.\nLead the price and pack architecture strategy across key brands to ensure the right mix across pack, price and customer/outlet formats.\nPartner closely with Marketing, Sales, Activation, Innovation, and Finance to ensure operational alignment and commercially viable project delivery.\nWhat you’ll bring…\nExperienced in FMCG, ideally within Commercial Strategy.\nA strategic thinker with strong commercial and financial acumen.\nProficient in using shopper insight, scan data, and analytics tools to shape commercial recommendations.\nA confident communicator, comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders.\nOutcome-focused, able to translate complex insight into actionable recommendations.\nFamiliar with P&L levers and how they impact profitability across the value chain.\nGood understanding of value chains across direct, indirect and international channels\nYou will also demonstrate our AG Barr behaviours of Being Honest, Accountable, Connected and Brave.\nWhat we offer…\nWe believe in creating a diverse and inclusive culture where your voice can be heard.
