This means leading tasks including but not limited to check in, matching, sorting, packing, processing, and all other functions to support processing outbound orders. Use of the Warehouse management system (WMS) and Radio frequency devices (RF’s) may be required to carry out processing of material, and to maintain inventory integrity.\nYour Impact\nMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. \nIdentify and report faulty equipment, damage, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately. \nFollow company standards and legal regulations to ensure a safe and positive work atmosphere. \nLeads various tasks throughout Batavia including, but not limited to:\nCheck-in, matching, unpacking, matching, counting, sorting, packing, and processing.\nTeach, train and communicate safety, quality, and productivity standards\nMotivate and engage operational staff and associates to ensure facility results are achieved in a high energy, engaging environment\nSolve daily operational problems with a can-do approach\nEssential Job Functions\nPhysical Involvement\nContinuous gripping of objects of varying sizes and weights up to 13lbs. \nContinuous standing and walking on concrete floor.\nFrequent kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, looking up and twisting.\nFrequent elevated work at waist to chest level.\nFrequent lifting of 50lbs.\nFrequent lifting of 50lbs.-70lbs. from floor to waist level.\nFrequent push/pull of up to 50lbs.\nFrequent reaching from overhead to waist level of up to 13lbs.\nMaximal lift of 70lbs.\nOccasional carry of 20lbs. in one hand.\nOccasional climbing of stairs and ladder.\nOccasional lifting to chest level of 70lbs.\nOccasional pushing/pulling of 400lbs. hand truck.\nOccasional pushing/pulling to 65lbs. at waist level.\nBehavior and Mental Involvement\nMust be able to coach and lead a TEAM\nMust be able to resolve and escalate conflict when necessary\nMust be able to communicate effectively with all operational staff and co-workers\nMust be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).\nMust be able to understand and communicate both verbally and in written form in English since instructions, labels and other documents are in English.\nMust be able to take direction, accept change and handle additional tasks as assigned.\nMust not present a direct threat or unreasonable risk to him/herself or others.\nMust represent the Company in a positive manner to co-workers and outside personnel.\nYour Experience and Qualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or GED\nThree to twelve months of relevant experience working in a packaging operation.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThe team leader will set up work areas, direct workflow, allocate resources, and improve processes within a workgroup. The team leader will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and will not have any disciplinary or corrective action authority.\nWorking Conditions\nWork is primarily performed within a warehouse setting both indoors and outdoors.\nNoise levels vary; however, there is no continuous exposure to hazardous noise levels.\nProper lifting techniques and caution in handling materials contribute to the maximum safety of the employee.\n\nThis position will pay within the range $28.13 -$32.82 per hour, based on experience.
