This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex integrations between enterprise applications and Workday Financials. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on expertise in C#/.NET, REST APIs, Azure, SQL, and enterprise integration development with experience working within the Workday ecosystem.\nThis individual will work closely with business stakeholders, financial analysts, and technical teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable integration solutions. The role also requires strong technical leadership, including solution architecture, code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentoring other developers.\nThis is a 6-12 month consulting engagement.\nWork Location\nThis engagement is hybrid and requires that the consultant reside in WA and be willing to travel to Olympia and/or Tum Water, WA for in-person meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions as needed throughout the project.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement end-to-end integrations between enterprise systems and Workday Financials.\nBuild, test, deploy, and maintain complex integrations using RESTful APIs, Workday Web Services, and Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).\nPerform data mapping, transformation, and validation across different application schemas and Workday object models.\nArchitect scalable and maintainable integration solutions.\nDevelop clean, efficient, testable C#/.NET code while establishing and maintaining development standards.\nPartner with business analysts, financial stakeholders, and technical teams to refine requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.\nTroubleshoot complex integration and application issues and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.\nLead code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.\nManage and support CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment processes.\nParticipate in Agile delivery processes, including backlog management, sprint planning, and execution using Azure DevOps.\nDevelop and maintain technical specifications, system documentation, integration documentation, and implementation materials.\nNavigate ambiguity and evolving requirements while maintaining delivery momentum and technical quality.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n7+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in:\nC#\n.NET Core / ASP.NET Core\nREST APIs\nMicrosoft Azure\nStrong SQL and relational database development skills, including experience with stored procedures, views, and complex queries.\nExperience designing and implementing enterprise system integrations.\nExperience with CI/CD practices and tools, including Azure DevOps and Git.\nWorking knowledge of .NET Framework and Web Forms.\nExperience working within Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban delivery environments.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nFamiliarity with Workday, particularly Workday Financials and Workday integration frameworks.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience developing or supporting Workday Financials integrations.\nExperience with Workday Web Services and Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).\nExperience with Python.\nExperience with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.\nData engineering and enterprise data integration experience using Azure technologies and ETL/ELT processes.\nExperience developing dashboards or reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.\nFamiliarity with code quality, security scanning, and application security analysis tools.\nExperience working on complex enterprise modernization or financial systems transformation initiatives.\nThe successful candidate will be a senior-level developer who can operate with a high degree of independence while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.
