Prioritizing innovation and client-focused solutions, we assist major agencies in addressing intricate issues and ensuring a more secure future.\nAGE Solutions is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with specialization in Cloud-hosted Storage Solutions to support a Department of Defense (DoD) customer.\nResponsibilities Include:\nResponsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure with an emphasis on cloud computing technologies.\nProvide technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operations.\nParticipate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the existing cloud infrastructure.\nEnsure that on-premise and cloud hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.\nDocument specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.\nDepict complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences through different reporting and briefing modalities.\nMonitor and report on existing data restore and disaster recovery capabilities for both on-premise and cloud environments.\nProvide recommendations on process improvement and efficiencies.\nCoordinate/perform/document Disaster Recovery (DR) failovers within cloud environments.\nEnsure high availability and performance expectations of critical enterprise applications/systems operating within the cloud environment.\nDevelop, integrate, and oversee storage arrays, fiber switches, and associated components.\nMaintain and oversee data backup solutions to ensure mission objective are met for both on-premise and cloud environments.\nResearch, build, and implement file sharing technologies to meet customer requirements.\nTroubleshoot and advise on advanced storage issues/deficiencies.\nPerform routine checks and preventative maintenance.\nPerform storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components.\nAuthor/document policies and procedures to support the operational storage environment and participate in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies.\nPrepare reports on storage administration best practices, new technologies, etc., and recommend enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize existing storage technologies.\nRequired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:\n Experience:Five (5) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field. This includes evaluating, manufacturing, and integrating enterprise-level storage and backup software technologies.\nThree (3) years of hands-on experience managing hybrid storage infrastructure (Azure cloud and/or Amazon Web Services).\nTwo (2) years hands-on experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) IT systems.\nTwo (2) years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage).\nHands-on experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management; operation of enterprise backup/restore services, using products such as Veritas NetBackup, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Backup, or Microsoft Azure Recovery Services/Site Recovery.\n\n Certification(s)DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Ex: Security+ CE)\nMust also have at least one of the following Computing Environment certifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert\nNetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator\nNetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect\nNetApp Certified hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer\n\n Clearance:Secret Clearance with an adjudicated IT-I investigation (Tier 5/SSBI) required.\nTop Secret clearance preferred.\n\nLocation:This is an onsite position located at a customer site in one of the locations listed below.
