The Engineer is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable connectivity between DoD facilities, networks, cloud environments, and mission-critical enterprise services.\nResponsibilities Include:\nDesign, configure, install, test, and maintain enterprise WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and associated infrastructure.\nSupport WAN connectivity across classified and unclassified networks as well as connectivity with DISN, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and other DoD networks.\nConfigure and troubleshoot advanced routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, multicast, QoS, and IPv4/IPv6.\nEngineer and maintain Cisco networking platforms and Check Point firewall technologies.\nImplement network technology refreshes, equipment replacements, and infrastructure modernization.\nPerform Tier III/IV troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and restoration of network services.\nProvide 24x7x365 on-call engineering support as required.\nConduct site surveys, infrastructure assessments, installation planning, and implementation activities.\nSupport DISA circuit provisioning, testing, activation, and troubleshooting.\nDevelop Engineering Change Requests, implementation plans, test plans, rollback procedures, and network diagrams.\nApply DISA STIGs, agency configuration standards, and cybersecurity requirements to network devices.\nEvaluate network capacity, utilization, performance, and potential reliability improvements.\nSupport enterprise cloud connectivity, application delivery, and secure network integration.\nConduct laboratory testing, technology evaluations, and interoperability validation.\nProvide technical support to Government and contractor WAN Management, NOC personnel, and other engineering teams.\nRequired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:\n Experience:Five (5) years of progressive IT experience, including at least two projects involving Network and Telecommunications Services and Network Management. At least one qualifying project must have occurred within the previous three years.\n\nClearance:DoD Top Secret clearance or Secret clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.\n\n Certifications:DoD 8570/8140: IAT Level III baseline certification.\nCisco Certified Network Professional - Enterprise (CCNP-E)\n\nLocation and Travel:This position is onsite at our customer’s location in Kleber Kaserne, Germany, with approximately 40% travel required, both CONUS and OCONUS for network installation or troubleshooting as required.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCheck Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher certification. If not attained prior to hire, must be attained after hire.\nAWS Cloud Practitioner\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals\nCompTIA Cloud+\nWork Environment and Physical Demand:\nMust be able to work from a computer for extended periods.\nMust be able to work from office, comm closet, warehouse, and other environments associated with network deployment and sustainment.\nThe projected salary range for this position is $120,000+ annually.
