Resolves complex technical challenges and supports enterprise engineering initiatives requiring specialized network, security, and systems integration knowledge.\nResponsibilities Include:\nProvide advanced technical analysis, engineering support, and problem resolution for complex enterprise network systems.\nDesign, configure, and implement Cisco networking and Check Point security solutions.\nSupport the integration of network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, and cybersecurity technologies.\nAnalyze technical requirements and develop engineering solutions for network modernization initiatives.\nPerform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network connectivity, performance, and security issues.\nSupport enterprise network architecture, design reviews, and technical engineering decisions.\nEvaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to enterprise network capabilities.\nSupport engineering activities involving routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security.\nParticipate in technology refresh planning, laboratory testing, and proof-of-concept evaluations.\nDevelop technical specifications, network diagrams, implementation plans, and configuration documentation.\nReview proposed network changes for interoperability, security compliance, and operational impacts.\nProvide technical guidance to other engineering personnel and Government stakeholders.\nSupport application of DISA STIGs, DoD cybersecurity requirements, and agency configuration standards.\nParticipate in technical interchange meetings and provide recommendations concerning network engineering initiatives.\nExercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.\nRequired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:\nExperience:Ten years of experience in LAN/WAN network engineering.\n\nEducation:High School Diploma.\n\nCitizenship and Clearance:US Citizenship is required.\nTop Secret clearance or Secret clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.\n\nCertification:DoD 8570/8140: IAT Level III baseline certification such as CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.\nCCNP - Enterprise.\nCheck Point CCSA.\n\nLocation and Travel:Work will be primarily performed from a contractor-owned facility near Fort Belvoir, VA and customer locations. Candidates may work onsite/reside within commuting distance of one of the following:Fort Belvoir, VA (highly preferred)\nBattle Creek, MI\nColumbus, OH\nDayton, OH\nNew Cumberland, PA\nOgden, UT\nPhiladelphia, PA\nRichmond, VA\nAnniston, AL\nSan Diego, CA\nFort Bragg, NC\nRobins AFB, GA\nTobyhanna, PA.\n\nTravel of approximately 30% may be required (CONUS).\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCheck Point CCSE Certification\nAWS Cloud Practitioner Certification\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals Certification\nCompTIA Cloud+ Certification\nWork Environment and Physical Demand:\nMust be able to work at a computer for extended periods in an office environment and work within comm closets, network infrastructure spaces, and warehouse spaces as needed.\nThe projected salary range for this position is $130,000+ annually.
