The selected candidate will provide engineering and administration support.\nResponsibilities Include:\nPerforms engineering work concerned with the analysis, planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading of Storage Area Network (SAN) systems at an Enterprise level.\nPerforms various tests and documents results.\nAdministers and maintains Enterprise SAN.\nProvides technical support and troubleshooting of all SAN components.\nAssists in the maintenance and operation of all SAN components and provides experience and input to support the Government for the acquisition of SAN related hardware and software.\nConfigures and administers storage arrays, fiber switches, and associated components.\nManages configuration and administration of data restore, disaster recovery, and backup clients/servers.\nConfigures and administers file sharing on NAS devices over various communications protocols (e.g., CIFS, NFS, and SMB).\nMaintains storage aspects of new server integrations, storage allocation, and change management.\nSets up procedures to consolidate data storage from different platforms, including Windows, UNIX, and Linux.\nTroubleshoots and fixes storage issues; performs routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance.\nPerforms storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components.\nDocuments operational procedures and participates in the design and ongoing refinement of storage policies.\nPrepares reports on best practices and new technologies to recommend enhancements and configuration changes.\nRequired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:\n Experience:Three (3) years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage). Hands-on experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management; operation of enterprise backup/restore services, using software such as Veritas NetBackup.\nTwo (2) years hands-on experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) IT systems.\n\nClearance:Top Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.\n\nCertifications:Must have a compliant DoD 8570 IAT II Certification such as CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH\nMust also have one of the following current certifications:AWS CSA Associate\nAWS CSA Professional\nGIAC GDSA\nMC: Azure AA\nMC: Azure SAE\nNetApp Certified Data Administrator\nNetApp Certified hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer\nNetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect\nNetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator\nNetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - SAN Specialist, ONTAP\nNetApp Certified Technology Associate\nPure Certified Data Storage Associate\nPure Certified FlashArrayTM Implementation Specialist\nVeritas Certified Specialist - NetBackup.\n\nLocation:Must reside within commutable distance of one of the following locations in order to work onsite full time:Columbus, OH\nDayton, OH\nHill AFB, Utah\nRichmond, VA\nTracy, CA.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertifications from multiple vendors including Pure, NetApp, Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud.\nWork Environment and Physical Demand:\nMust be able to work from a computer for extended hours in an office environment and be able to work from comm closets when/as needed.\nThe projected salary range for this position is $110,000+ annually.
