You will contribute to or pioneer new capabilities related to the management and orchestration of multi-robot (mobile or stationary) and multi-device (sensors, IoT, workcells, enterprise systems) systems, with a focus on the Robotics Middleware Framework (RMF).\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nResearch and develop robotic software packages and tools for industrial applications using the ROS framework, including capabilities in Robotics Middleware Framework (RMF) multi-agent path planning, simulator design, perception, and motion planning. Drive application-oriented robotic research towards industrial automation using ROS 2.\nArchitect and develop software solutions and core algorithms for interoperable multi-agent and multi-robot systems, focusing on coordination, scheduling optimisation, task assignment, and traffic deconfliction.\nImplement systems engineering approaches by translating business requirements into system requirements and validation methodologies, and develop software testing and validation strategies in accordance with industry standards.\nExecute technical projects, including planning, technical documentation, write-ups, and presentations.\nQualification & field of study: Degree in Robotics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.\nMin. years of experience: 1-3 years.\nEssential Skills & Experience:\nProficiency in C++ and Python programming.\nExperience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\nExperience with ROS2 and its ecosystem.\nProficiency with Git version control.\nKnowledge of robotics concepts including manipulation, navigation, fleet management, and/or simulation.\nExperience with software systems integration, including architecture and communication protocols.\nExperience with networked systems design and implementation.\nDesired Skills & Experience:\nExperience applying or researching AI technologies in robotics.\nExperience managing stakeholders from requirements gathering to deployment.\nWeb development experience (e.g., using common frameworks).\nExperience with specific robotics algorithms (e.g., scheduling optimisation, task assignment, traffic deconfliction).\nExperience in machine learning.\nStrong systems design skills.\nExperience developing software solutions using ROS
