As the business continues to grow, they’re looking for an experienced Commercial Masonry Estimator who can take ownership of the estimating process and help increase project capacity.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Commercial Masonry Estimator, you’ll own the complete estimation cycle - from reviewing drawings and performing quantity takeoffs to gathering vendor pricing and preparing competitive bids.\nYou’ll work closely with the founder, project teams, vendors, and trade partners to ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.\nThe company uses Tradesman estimating software and will provide training. The ideal candidate should be comfortable learning new systems and is expected to ramp up on the platform within approximately 60 days.\nWhat You’ll Do\nReview commercial construction plans, specifications, and drawings\n\nPerform detailed quantity takeoffs for brick, block, stone, and related masonry scopes\n\nPrepare accurate and competitive estimates and bids\n\nDevelop clear scope sheets and estimate documentation\n\nRequest and manage quotes from vendors and subcontractors\n\nCompare pricing and coordinate RFQs with trade partners\n\nReview design revisions and update estimates accordingly\n\nSupport RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation\n\nCommunicate with project teams, vendors, and clients as needed\n\nParticipate in daily or weekly planning calls\n\nProvide clear updates on estimating progress and project status\n\nWork with field teams to clarify scope, quantities, and pricing\n\nMaintain organized and accurate estimating records\n\nLearn and become proficient in the company's Tradesman estimating platform\n\nEnsure all estimates meet company standards for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n3+ years of direct construction estimating experience, with strong preference for commercial masonry\n\nProven experience estimating brick, block, and/or stone projects\n\nCommercial construction experience is required; residential masonry experience alone is not a fit\n\nExperience working with or for US-based construction or masonry contractors\n\nStrong understanding of commercial construction plans, specifications, and scopes\n\nFluent English, both written and verbal\n\nSpanish fluency is highly valued due to the bilingual nature of the team\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines\n\nComfortable working independently in a remote environment\n\nStrong communication and follow-through\n\nAbility to learn new software and cloud-based systems independently\n\nA degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus but not required if you have strong hands-on masonry estimating
